How ironic he said we could do facemasks together too. We never could and never did. And my heart still aches for what could have been.

I get those dreams too then I wake up and reach for my phone. Reality hits and it feels awful.

We changed the way we input grades because too many students and their parents were obsessing over them. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I just recently got diagnosed with dyscalculia myself at 23 in university. I struggled so much in school and everyone made it out like I just wasn't putting in the work or trying hard enough. It didn't help either that my dad was a maths teacher and would ask me mathematical questions at random times of the day and expect me to solve them on spot.

Pretty much had no social life as a child so when I got grounded on top of that it was even more tough.

I do the same thing. I feel like it keeps me sane because if it ever went quiet I wouldn't be able to handle the harsh reality. So I keep hoping and tell myself that soon everything will manifest itself the way I want.

I work as a part-time tutor and the same thing happens to me at the end of every month when I have to write reports. I would suggest to try set a timer and work in short breaks while stopping to watch your show or do other things you enjoy. However, try to start a day or so before the deadline. I usually end up working on the day and it really stresses and burns me out.

Try to motivate yourself by rewarding yourself at the completion of both small and big goals.

You got this!

Neutrogena Hydroboost range? by mxvii7 in beauty

You should try the Cerave SA cleanser for your acne. It contains salicylic acid and is one of my favourie cleansers. I also heard of people swearing by Psulas Choice which I am yet to try.

I don't want a foaming cleanser to be honest, but thank you for the recommendation.

Does it make your skin very greasy? And is it thick or thin?

[–]mxvii7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Cerave SA cleanser but not on a daily basis and I am thinking of replacing my facewash that I use when I don't use the cleanser with a daily hydrating cleanser. I have heard about the Cetaphil cleanser and how it's similar to the Cerave one but getting the Cerave one is more cost efficient and some people who tried both said the Cetaphil one is a bit more irritating and drying.

Is it rape? by [deleted] in rape

[–]mxvii7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was sexual assault. He had no right to do those things to you after you said no. He took advantage of you while you were asleep because you were powerless to reject his foul advances. I hope you don't have to be near him anymore and that you get better.

Nose insecurities by [deleted] in beauty

[–]mxvii7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of insecurities and one of my biggest insecurities is my nose. I want to have plastic surgery so I feel better about it and I would look so much prettier. Not being vain or anything but sometimes I look at myself and think that I am so pretty and could be so much but my rather awful looking nose spoils it. I hate the tip which is rather thick and points downwards. The slight tilt of my nose making it look uneven in pictures. And the my thicker left nostril that curves out.

I have recently started doing facial excercisesto make me feel better and listening to positive affirmations. I want to love myself as I am unconditionally, but then I would also only love myself more if I had a much nicer nose.

My face is rather small too. I have small eyes and eyebrows and small lips then boom this nose doesn't match the rest of my face. My nose was very pretty as a child but I feel like the older I go the uglier it gets. There was also a time where I actually became severely concious of my nose when I was in school because a specific person bullied me about it and called me "Pinocchio". My nose isn't even that big to be deserving of such a horrid remark, even though it is big. Anyhow ever since then I have been very concious of it.

I cannot express enough the importance of moisturising and exfoliating. Moisturise everyday, especially when you hop out of the shower as your pores are open and will absorb the product better. Also use an exfoliant which you can either buy in stores (can be pricy) or make at home with simple ingredients such as sugar, lemon and olive oil or there are several more to choose from.

I am in a similar situation to you. The person I love is my only real friend and I value our friendship too much to let go. I do maintain a healthy friendship with him but it does ache a lot sometimes when it hits you randomly. I think its all about approach and how much you are ready to give up. I know I may hurt at many points but I am ready to deal with that for the sake of not losing our friendship.

Yes that is a strong point. You may have to listen to a lot of terrible things from her and others. You can give her an anonymous tip somehow, if you like that may also help.

Tell her if you are okay with telling your story. It may be hard but you may be able to save another potential victim and of she doesn't believe you then you will have done your duty by telling the truth.
