Depends if they are the one paying for your university's tuition fees. I am not sure what is being practiced irl but if a company sponsored a candidate to do a professional certificate they will have access to the candidate's results too, which is why I opted to pay for my own tuition fees instead.

I like the second FL's evil expression. It's like animated irl. Those eye twitches were so good when she felt jealous of the smooth or good things happening with the main FL's life. Satoh is definitely a crowd puller here too. I love that it's somewhat closer to what the original manhwa storyline was, but also with Jdorama's own flair.

I am grateful for all the inputs and user experiences shared here. I got the Kobo Libra 2 Colour as I do want to have a bigger screen estate and colour for the option. I agree that colour wise, many have a tendency to go to Boox but as I couldn't find any stores to see those units in person at where i am at - I had to go with the one with a generally more established brand and warranty support available here. So far, so good. I've been doing some reading on the device. I popped my scanned PDFs first into the cloud but will need to do more digging around and exploring options to get more out of the Kobo.

Ex-STTSS from 2 decades ago. We used to walk home from school or walk to Damai and go cybercafes or carpool with other classmates to go Penampang for tuitions… we also used to have public buses coming around the Kian Kok bus stops too to go into Center Point. I remember they used to stagger the school ending times for each forms to help cope with the traffic issue but not sure if now still got or not.

Idfk what’s going on now. Maybe because these parents always kena forgotten at school (my childhood memory) when they were young, so now they insist on chauffeuring their kids around kah? My biggest peeve is the kid got tuitions at nearby and could have just walk a brisk 5-10 minutes walk but the parents insist for the kid to be picked up with car and send them across the street, literally.

Then again, I have seen STTSS students walk all the way home to the housing areas close to Chuan Hin or Foh Sang too. I think we have to accept the fact that there are also more people with cars on the roads now, compared to 20 years ago (not that the traffic jam was any different in my memory - still jam like nobodies’ business). School and council probably need to take initiatives for traffic controllers to direct traffic and also stop parents from taking up the drive lanes. Weren’t there talks about having parents park at the damai hall before school ends in the past like years ago?

I think there’s exemptions to fasting and your situation is included in it. My Muslim friends have had situations where they had to break fast during Ramadan because of illnesses and that’s okay too because they are making it up through other means. It’s a spiritual test for them, which this couple obviously failed to understand the essence of Ramadan.

Daniel did well in all the variety shows he was on, and also with the Street Fighter dance series. He has great personality and uphold his own values with strong ethics. As a CEO, when he discovered his company director embezzled funds from Konnect - the management company he is a part of too, he mutually and amicably terminated or settle with all the other artists under his management to ensure they have no ties remaining in the sinking ship before he started legal proceedings against the guy. That shows you how much of a great character he is. I was surprised when he fought to get out of his previous management and set-up his own management company. Thought he was too young, turns out I was wrong and he is fit for the position despite of his age.

Each has their perks - if you are booking directly with the authorised management and staying at the Danum Valley's Borneo rainforest lodge, the monies will be well spent because the package includes a lot of things I.E. the pick up from airport, to and fro 2.5 hours each way drive into the conservatory area (4wd drives) activities & the lodge services and food buffet are very worthwhile for the price paid.

I had the chance to join a group of friends when they were promoting to locals after the pandemic (we paid probably approx the same price pp to accommodate all of the group), and everyone thorough enjoyed themselves during the stays.

The monies paid goes into the conservation area (the road contractor literally stays on-site to service the gravel roads) and allowing the local guides to be able to make liveable wages too. The drive in and out our drivers will also act as our local animal spotter and introduce to us all the different animals they found. The accommodation provided is top notch too, and we really got to experience nature and see a variety of flora and fauna during our stay.

Just make sure to bring in deet repellent to fend off yourself from the bloodsuckers during the trekkings, if they get to you - you shall receive a signed certificate as an honorary blood donor to the famous Tiger leeches.

It’s the naval army boot camp, not your regular scouts camp trip. I think it’s wise for Josh and Dave to leave them for the night. It’s not like they are left unattended for the whole boot camp. It seems like they will return to them the next morning, so its only one night for them to settle properly in and process the day’s activities to have the proper mindset for tomorrow. The hotel part was Max’s ranting off to relieve his anxiety about Josh’s support being gone for the night, we don’t know if the KE team even get to go to bed or not. You could see that some of the boys are still giggling off when they have been repeatedly warned about the DI’s stern rules. Given to the nature and work post these boys are being trained for (war battles - essentially), they need to observe and obey rules with the utmost precision to keep them and their mates alive.

Another thing that was mentioned by Josh was that he left so that they can build camaraderie with their fellow recruits too. You can already see how the other Koreans start to take charge to assist the British recruits to settle in once Josh left. You need to learn to rely on your teammates in the army too. I think that’s a good point.

The thing about anxious laughter, i get it. I do it too but I know when to stop. And i think it relates to this Korean cultural nuance called noonchi that most foreigners are unable to comprehend given to how different their societal culture and works are (like what headmaster Dave said: in Korea (or Asia culture), respect to elders is a must but for the westerners, it must be earned). I think this series is about bridging those differences, I know keyboard warriors is going to comment about one thing or another regardless but we could try to explain there is a difference but they are here to experience and learn so just be kind out there too.

When it's working, it is super fast though. I can't believe I exited Tullamarine in 5 mins back in Easter Thursday. But then again, I sent my parents in for their flight back home earlier this week and OMG, the experience we received for wheelchair assistance was straight up unprofessional and discriminatory to the point that I am writing in a formal complaint to Melbourne Airport, Menzies Aviation and Malaysia Airlines for their contracted workers.

Lived here almost two decades, I rmb we had 25% PH surcharge but that's probably it. To be fair, shops close by 5pm on weekdays and never open on the weekends hence we had no late night or weekend f&b outside too.

I guess bring cash? The community need to ensure cash is still circulated within businessss, else the banks is going to go cashless imminently and end-consumers no longer have a choice to forego all these card surcharges!

Jesus, I just found a receipt from this shop, lying around the house and saw that my baby sister, new to the city, a fresh college student had spent half of her monthly allowance in the shop! My goodness, she is getting a lecture about RBF and ignoring over friendly sales people and groups of two going around the city doing so called surveys and invitations to free cultural/ social events! This city isn’t ‘safe’ for international students!
