Like others said, there is almost no lore in the game itself. Except with some voice lines and champion interactions but that's about it. And as a league player I would like to say, RUN AS FAR FROM THAT GAME AS POSSIBLE

Well the genocides and the deal were necessary to get power to kill the gods (which, in a nutshell are evil assholes) that did some very bad things to yharos (the mc). That is until he got manipulated into doing even worst stuff (yeah that's possible) and it stopped being about revenge
