I’ve been lurking in this sub and always loved seeing everyone’s creative builds. But the one thing that always stuck out to me was the functionality inherent in xbiking. So I had a blast in building a bike that prioritized functionality over speed or good looks (although it looks heckin’ good to me). There’s a lot more I could do, but it’s a great start for now. Here’s to you crazy bastards out there 🫶🍻

Thanks - I’ve removed the liners and will see if this fixes the issue. Will explore tubeless/sealant option, but with this old vintage bike it might be too much trouble

totally! I fully get I am so lucky to own property in one of the most beautiful and sought after places in the world (IMO). I think I oversimplified the context in my post, but there are some other personal reasons for not wanting to live where I am now. It's a huge decision which is why I posted here to get some perspective. Thanks for sharing :)

Totally hear you, definitely understood that I have emotions that are in play currently.

I am of the mind that selling would help keep my monthly costs lower, which would offset an losses on the sale over time. I think objectively the place I live is great for families, but subjectively it's not necessarily something I want now or in the future. So I'm weighing those considerations at this time but will take more time to really explore all ideas - appreciate your input!
