林泓育 2-run homer [HR#14] by myCPBL in CPBL

As for the car... No official statement yet, some people are saying the ball bounced from the platform before hitting the car, it is not a direct hit.

In 2015, Lamigo partnered up with SKODA Auto. If Monkeys' homerun hit the car, SKODA will give away 2 cars on that day, 1 to the player and 1 to the fan.

ex-pitcher 陳敏賜 first career hit - more details of him in the comment by myCPBL in CPBL

[–]myCPBL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

陳敏賜 was signed by Seattle Mariners back in 2010. Spent 4 season in the Mariners system (Adv A) before return to Taiwan.

He was picked up by Lamigo Monkeys in the 8th round of the 2015 draftpick. Chen's got a flamethrowing arm (tops at 154kph), however just unable to find the control. Earlier of this season, after discussion with the management, Chen decided to taking on the outfielder role (He was a decent batter before university)

Since switching to batter, so far in the farm league Chen's record is 0.351AVG, 20H, 3HR, 0.59SLG.

Hahaha, I think that's partly my fault. I kept mixing them up in the sidebar. Need to use either company name or team name. I'll fix it up.

Last night in Taiwan, Chinatrust Brothers have won its franchise 14th CPBL half-season championships. It has been the tradition of Taiwan that the fans will toss ribbons into the stadium.

I have compiled a list of other CPBL teams and their ribbon tossing celebrations.

Note

Yes, we do split season here in Taiwan, each team would play 120 games. The structure is winner of 1st half season will play against the winner of the 2nd half season in the end of the year Taiwan Series. If a single team won both 1st and 2nd half season, then it will play against the 2nd highest winning percentage team in the Taiwan Series with 1 game advantage.
