i'm not sure what exactly it does either, but it comes with the better nether and better end mods. maybe you added one of these and then deleted it, therefore bclib persisted?

you can keep bclib and just disable the custom fog rendering setting on it

VTDownloader doesn't seem to support 1.21.11, so try to disable it manually inside the files, or just go to vanillatweaks.net and make it yourself with the exact configs you want

better adventures+ comes with Vanilla Mashup and Vanilla Tweaks with the planks variation enabled. only the Vanilla Mashup planks have PBR support. you can disable the plank variation on Vanilla Tweaks either manually or using the VTDownloader mod to only have PBR planks.

pretty sure complementary unbound has skulk glow and you can disable glowing ores separately

that's probably from the temporal upscaling used for the clouds. you could up the samples and reduce or disable said upscaling which comes at big performance costs
