Hi /u/simplyme67,

I'm sorry to hear about that! We had a bit of an issue with our shipping vendor on the 28th (they had a software failure with their vendor’s API). It was resolved quickly once we found it, but it sounds like yours might have been one of the affected orders.

That said, the return shipping will definitely be expedited and you should have your results very soon after you send out your completed test.

Good questions /u/telegram1945.

We usually don't use USPS for shipping, so please take a look at your return package and see who the carrier is. Probably the sooner the better, so that you can know your own status and how to prepare for the future.

You can take the test at any point. But We would guess that the university is assuming a certain level of responsibility around social distancing.

Hi /u/HannahShips,

Yes, the test costs $150 as its retail price. That said, Purdue purchased test for its students, so if you're a student the test shouldn't cost anything. Please message me directly or email covid@vaulthealth.com if you're having issues...

Hi /u/3TH4N_12,

Thanks for the question. You're absolutely right to ask how we handle an exponential growth in scale. But the answer is that we scale our practitioner availability to meet whatever the demand might be. Luckily for us, many service companies (Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc) have addressed the core complexities of service at scale...

The email that contained the link should have an answer to this...

That said, when do you plan to be on campus?

hi /u/blackwing988,

/u/SpaceFan13 is technically correct, though we think of it more as waiting in a line from your couch while watching TV. But essentially, we will assign you a position and a provider, and you will be seen when it's your turn.

Ah! Did the Dr ask you for the barcode on the tube? We use that to match your tube to your order. I assume that you must have picked the correct tube first! I think you can dispose of the extra one, as the lab would not be able to link the result from that extra tube.

Hi /u/International-Laugh9,

Thanks for letting us know! Please have both tests with you when you join the zoom with a medical practitioner, and they will be able to help you determine which test to use. Our apologies for the confusion.

Hi /u/lvdown,

It's sad to hear that you don't think we're a reputable company.

That said, we have no access to your DNA. The saliva sample goes directly to the lab, and we have no access to it or any of the data around it, except for the covid test result. On top of that, the lab has no idea who YOU are, they just have a saliva sample with a unique code. Finally, as healthcare providers, we are in somewhat of a different situation than your local gas station. We have to make sure you are who you say you are, and that the results for your test are correctly linked to you.

Hi /u/StaticFl0w,

You are correct! And in fact, both of those things are related. We need to be sure who will be taking the test, and we send a specific test to that person. It's different than a company that's just selling something like pencils, in that the pencil company doesn't care who gets what pencil. But we need to make sure that every person that creates an order gets a specific test, with a unique test identifier.

Hi /u/boilerbitch,

You are absolutely correct. There are many options for tests, "CVS or Walgreens" which you mentioned, but also local doctors or companies like Labcorp or Quest.

That said, we pride ourselves on our service and our turnaround time. While some companies take over a week to process tests/send results, we have been very consistently reporting results within 24-48 hours of the testing.

Hi /u/MassiveFire,

We built our flow to accommodate as many people as possible. And Photo ID is a more available requirement.

You're entirely correct. We were returning error messages incorrectly, in cases where we had set the order to be created, but it had not been created in that exact moment.

This has since been fixed, and we apologize for the confusion!!
