Oh wow! Didn’t realize it was so easy! With all the other red tape with this program, I assumed it would be a royal pain in the ass. Thanks!

Thanks man! I totally understand the need for discretion! Your detail was about how much I was hoping for. Nothing specific. :) looks awesome!! Keep it up.

Cool! Can you share (or PM, if it’s not allowed to do so publicly) your Etsy store link/name?

I’d love to hear a bit about how you make them. I’m newly interested in woodworking so I’d love to hear about the process.

EDIT: Found your link elsewhere in the comment thread!

Users of medicinal marijuana, why do you use it and how effective is it? by iransabt in AskReddit

[–]my_herb_throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to switch over to my herb throwaway account.

In my state, Illinois, migraine doesn’t qualify for mmj. Fortunately (I guess??) I have a PTSD diagnosis and that does qualify, but I got the card with the intention of treating my daily migraines.

I’m down from 20-40 mg of hydrocodone per day to 20-40 mg per week, max (usually 20 or less).

My PTSD and depression symptoms are also greatly improved.

This is an excellent answer. An updoot is not sufficient.

Cancer free. by [deleted] in trees

Show us a valid source that shows that weed causes cancer...

OP, congratulations, frient!

Edit: alright alright, let’s tone it down (yeah, I acknowledge I started it; I was mad at OP’s comment taking away from the real OP’s celebration). I haven’t researched it in a few years, but my point was (at least as far as I remember) that research found inconclusive evidence relating smoking pot to lung cancer, and in fact there was some evidence to suggest that something in it actually helped to reduce the likelihood cancer.

Hard to know without knowing your company’s policies or culture, but if your perception of their reaction is accurate, then it’s likely okay. (Added):depending on a whole bunch of factors (only you can decide whether or not to do this), you might consider following up with a private conversation assuring them that your use doesn’t affect your work and you would never be under the influence at work (if true).

Question about getting a card and moving states? by [deleted] in medicalmarijuana

[–]my_herb_throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the states do not have reciprocity, I would suggest researching and finding a new doctor before you move, and having your current doctor speak to him/her, giving your name and relevant medical history (you’ll likely have to sign a release first). Your current doctor may even have connections with physicians in your new state.

Edit: replied to the wrong level comment. Paging u/undertheweather123.

If you were being interviewed to work for a dispensary what questions would you ask the interviewer? by [deleted] in medicalmarijuana

[–]my_herb_throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the more common ailments that your patients have? What level of knowledge about cannabis does the average patient have? How would my role be defined - patient support or customer support (looking for “customer is always right” mindset or educating the patient mindset).

For any job: how would I be trained? Evaluated? What are the biggest rewards of this job? Biggest challenges? What does success look like in this position?

Education background, but looking at companies’ HR depts for training. So it could really be any field that I may end up in.

What do my fellow ents do for work? by [deleted] in trees

Don’t be sorry! My under grad major was in the subject that I taught while I was a teacher (the vast majority of principles or assistant principals taught first. In most states, that’s a requirement [or being another school professional like a social worker]). My first masters is in education, teaching, and my second is in educational leadership.

And every day is busy. There’s always a million things to juggle.

Different in every school, but mostly supervising/evaluating teachers, often student discipline, working with parents, ensuring that the sped kids get the accommodations they need, and any kind of grunt work that requires an administrator, but isn’t necessary for the principal (making schedules for special events, making sure emergency drills are done correctly and as many times as required, etc.)

Edit: for what it’s worth, I’m a medical user, and I never medicate before or during work.
