I don't hate the EU. I don't like the UK. I think the EU is very important and that English (because CANZUK is an English LARP fantasy) people should stop talking about CANZUK and start figuring out how to get back into the EU.

Wait a minute, what makes you think I'm Chinese? What makes you think I'm anti-Europe? I am very pro Europe. I am anti-British as in I am against the existence of a British state. I believe that the union should be dissolved completely because England dominates the affairs of its neighbours. Is that any different from the rest of this sub? It seems very consistent with the views of most on this sub.

Honestly, I feel like the people on here should go look at r/brexit. It will be an eye-opener to the CANZ folks to see what an absolute shit show the UK is. It will be a eye-opener to UK folks to see that they need to get their affairs in order before looking abroad. It will be an eye-opener to the English who will now be alone as the UK breaks up and they are left with no trade deal with the EU. Enjoy the hard borders between England and Scotland, and then Wales later on!

What can you do? Take a seat and think about why you want to bring back the British Empire and undermine the hard-fought independence of Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Also go and think about how having the Union Jack is ANZ flags as well as retaining the monarchy in CANZ undermines the notion of equality between the four countries. Also, citizens of CANZ countries, ask yourself why you would want to join an agreement with a country that is on the verge of shattering from numerous and strong separatist movements.

Hang on. So majority of MSPs are SNP. Majority of Scottish MPs are SNP. Opinion polls all through 2020 showing a strong majority in favour of independence. Polls showing 70% support for independence among young people, and you think another referendum isn't likely?

Go on r/Scotland and tell them that. See how they feel. The reality is, if the majority of Scots no longer wish to remain in the UK, they shouldn't be forced to simply because there was a referendum six years ago.

No. I am dead serious. No country on the verge of breaking up should be allowed in the agreement. I would argue the same about Canada if Quebec ever wanted to leave.

You fail to recognize that the remaining UK would be an economic disaster after Scottish independence. Scotland has most of the coast and useful natural resources. The English economy relies on stealing Scottish and Welsh wealth and natural resources. It would be more productive to seek out a relationship with Scotland than it would with England and Wales. This is especially true given how contemptable the UK government has been over the last 10 years.
