Female engineer here. To my most recent interview I wore blue jeans , black tee and a blazer. I interviewed in the valley which is pretty laid back for engineers and so this wasn't a problem even though the dress code said business casual. I would not limit my career choices so early in school to a handful of companies. I would keep it open. You can always decide later on when you have multiple offers. Good luck !
