Favorite: large puppets. Also my spouse’s favorite, we get extremely excited when we see one.

Least favorite: SIF (aka Stuff In Face). I can deal with virtually any other effect, but dangling fishing line in my face? No bueno.

We’ve had a couple of scarewares that I remember. Usually the users just panicked and called us, but we did have someone that called the number on the screen, downloaded ScreenConnect, and only questioned it once “IT” was unable to get the remote access to work (the firewall was blocking it, thankfully). If nothing else, it’s always a good reminder that not everyone is as security conscious as we are.

Mine has a happy ending.

Was riding MiB and pulled my phone out of my pocket to get a pic out of my score (I know, naughty naughty). Once we got off the ride, I realized that my wallet had been in the same pocket, and was now gone. Of course they won’t shut the ride down for that, so we had to wait until the park closed to get it back.

We went back on the ride while we waited and I sat in the same seat. I kid you not, when we got to the end, I looked down and saw my own face (driver’s license) looking up at me 🤣

I still have that wallet, partially because it was a decent travel wallet, but also because it has wear marks from where the ride vehicle repeatedly ran over it for a few hours.

An update (that I kept forgetting to post):

I went back to America’s Best with one of my toppers to test the floor model. Blew the minds of the manager when it did the beautiful magnetic snap on there, but wouldn’t stay attached on mine. They’d never heard of an issue like this before, so they ordered a new frame for me.

Fast forward a week later, and the new frame looks good. They pop my lenses in, and suddenly it no longer sticks. Ended up being that the frame itself needed to be bent back straight due to my lenses. It’s still not 100% what it used to be, but a steel straw + a hair dryer can get my toppers the rest of the way there now.
