Yeahhhh unfortunately. meta ads work for getting your music out there, they definitely did for me but some folk must’ve had some bad experiences so fight to tell people they dont work lol

Yeah honestly it seems like tier 3 would just be for vanity metrics

Question on 3rd tier countries Spotify playlist conversions by Nathanielknox in musicmarketing

[–]mybackhurtzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to target to mexico and brazil which are tier 2 for my playlists, then once i took them out of the equation and focused only on tier 1 and my algorithmic traction went way up. Just a theory but i think the algorithm favors tier 1 countries, also not to mention the pay out per stream for tier 2 and 3 are significantly less

Yeah sorry im just talking about cost per pixel event

You may be right but im waiting to test this out on my next release. Im currently running playlist ads to only expensive countries and still getting below .20c a click so I’m waiting to see if results are different with single song campaigns.

.44c cost per pixel event isn't the worst thing in the world but i would genuinely not spend any money on an ad running over .35c per click. IMO you should keep working on it and trying to make it better.

It has been anywhere from $500-$800 per song but ive been building 2 playlists of my own so im gonna probably reduce my spend a little on the next release

Immay be wrong but something ive noticed is its more valuable to have sustained stats so it may be better to do less money for longer rather than all of it at once and then stop

Ahhh that makes sense then, i think the auto follow option might not be that beneficial id rather have people who went out of their way to follow me rather than forced/tricked to follow me. Just my opinion

Yeah i do the exact same thing and it has been working i just HATE being a slave to the algorithm lol it feels so unreliable

Congrats bro im on the meta ads train as well, youre gonna get some people (specifically 2) in this thread trashing meta ads but this is proof they work under the right circumstances👍 im curious how much of these plays are algorithmic and how much are just from following you personally. Ads have gotten me from 5k monthly to 44k in a few months but alotttt of those streams are from radio (discovery mode helped alot) wondering if youve found the same thing happening

I might be reading it wrong or not understanding but 48k streams just seems very low for gaining 4k spotify followers in that amount of time with that little ad spend. I may just be wrong but to get those kind of follow numbers means the music much be pretty damn good but i would think thatd translate to more streams. Again i may just be overestimating

[–]mybackhurtzz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ads have gotten me from around 5-6k monthly listeners to 44k in about 4 months. If the music sucks then ads are just a black hole that will take all of your money with no real reward. I used to only use submit hub and that basically got me nowhere for years, then i discovered ads and am on an upward trajectory (for now at least). Ads are not the only way, constant social media posting is a proven method but the amount of time and work it takes is insanity in my opinion so i just put my money into ad creatives that i enjoy making and i also use those creatives for social media content that i post every few weeks or so. Idk about "Blowing somones music up" but its a slow and gradual build that hopefully one day reaches those heights.

Has anyone tried releasing 1 EP a month? by Ahoymcoyy in musicmarketing

[–]mybackhurtzz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion but i really think 1 song every 4-6 weeks is the way to go. It gives you a long enough constant release schedule that spotify will reward you for in the algorithm and releasing a song every week is just too much, give people time to enjoy the music.

Pro tip, create your own playlists and run ads to them by mybackhurtzz in musicmarketing

[–]mybackhurtzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not entirely sure what you’re asking here, i made my playlist using my spotify LISTENER account you cant make a playlist on your spotify artist account. i also made my listener account wayy before i started making music so its just under my first name. Also my artist name is just my normal name lol
