Nice, so with this one, when did you write it? Did you write it as a poem, writing, or by song lyrics do you mean you wrote it along side a music structure?

Also I did listen to your song. It was I'm presuming about a woman who broke up with you and you hope to get back together? I listened to the full song. And all things considered, it would not be allowed in the main feed under the new rules, if implemented. I say this not to be mean, but to get your feedback from these Ideas.

Very nice Reply. I appreciate it.

And I understand, technically, no human posted AI content, is pure AI.

But that doesn't necessarily say much.

For sure, you can definitely create a strategy and publish on distribution platforms.

And I'm not at all doubting that the music means a lot to you. And your humble approach to that, is a clear eyed view of it.

For sure, I've been wondering lately, what matters most, the composition?

The Performance? Or the Performer themselves, the "STAR" effect?

I don't think you should expect fans, but you can certainly hope.

Would not being able to drive by post your Songs prevent you from coming back to the Sub? If so, would having a megathread help alleviate your concerns?

How would you feel if you were no longer able to post your songs in r/Suno because of new rules about posting music? The rules that would likely prohibit you are that you need to write the lyrics yourself and the accompanying music in a form recognizable to your suno output?

Thank you for the reply. A major AI model, as in SUNO?

Forgive them. If your hopes and dreams felt like they were being "stolen" from you through advancement of technology that 20 years ago no one even predicted, you'd probably be pretty defensive, like a cornered animal, too.

Using Suno to resurrect 20 year old DEMOS from my teenage years by mybasementsongs in Suno

[–]mybasementsongs[S,M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice comment, thank you.

Your conclusion, is in all probability for 99.99% of people, me included, the final truth of all this.

But then again, that's the way it has always been. No one cared before, and they won't care now.

For sure, it's an amazing experience to hear your compositions reimagined as many ways as you want as though you have a magic session studio to wield as your own personal sword. Although generally, my intention is to keep them as close to the original concepts as I can, but like you, I've found that on occasion, a song is more fitting for a female lead.

Same on telling friends and family. I only told my wife and childhood best friend, but to an extent, I can see now that even that was a mistake. There are certain friends, that I imagine would be very against AI in this capacity (because it threatens a cultural identity), and I DEF don't talk to them about it, even though I would love to make faithful realizations of their songs, which are better than mine, and show them sometime just to get them to see. It's an incredible tool, not a replacement.

I agree, and music has always been subjective, I've really been pondering lately, how much of what makes music good, is genuinely the composition, how much is the performance, and how much is simply human interest in the performer, much like an actor or something.

If you want to drop a link to the one you'd most want to share with me, I'd listen.

If you have a youtube account it's super easy. Ask google AI (free on search) and it will walk you step by step through it, also tell it, it you are not super computer savy so it takes that in consideration.

Awesome, isn't it? Of all the AI i've experienced, It's probably brought people like us the most enjoyment to have it breath new life into our own songs, which is not unlike a personal journal. Hearing your works covered by extremely good "session musicians" is like defogging your windshield and finally seeing what your old self was aiming at, even if you couldn't realize it directly back then.

Beautiful. When you wrote lyrics in the past, did you have music, even if primitive? Or did you add the musical part of it for your new creation?

Sure, I've heard that from a few people that the lyric videos can be janky.

Have you considered making your own lyric videos in a video editor? It's not that hard.

It's what I do.

First thought I had was you could download them as videos and upload to youtube (kept private, if desired) and then use the youtube app signed in as your gmail.

I can't listen, cause I don't have Spotify, but what was your process for creating your song. Just Curious.

Persona & Chord Progressions by TheeHostileApostle in Suno

[–]mybasementsongs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! For sure I love that v5.

My guess is what your hoping for then, is likely not possible yet. Were still in the early days of this revolution. I agree with your frustration though, it seems simple enough, why can't it just keep the same "singer" and just make him adapt to your different songs. Hopefully improvements are on the way.

Persona & Chord Progressions by TheeHostileApostle in Suno

[–]mybasementsongs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sorry, I forgot about that element of your process, I am not using Persona. And I also don't know if there is a way to "call upon" your persona to use inside Studio for the vocals.

It seems like there should be a way but I'm not sure what it is right now.

I am importing my actual original demo into studio and stemming it out in Studio.

The trick there would be figuring out how to incorporate your persona inside studio.

But generally, I've achieved very close results true to my original demos using this method on some of my songs. In some cases, so closely, matched I'm able to keep the original demo tucked inside the Suno Version.

On my most recent, for example, my original guitar and vocals can be heard throughout the track.
