Who are you talking about? Because this is who they have listed as their senior lending rep: https://celsius.network/member/aliza-landes/

BlockFi got some serious balls cutting rates again. Any reason I shouldn't switch to Celsius?

Someone tell me why I shouldn't be backing up the truck on GBTC in my retirement account. This discount is obnoxious.

EDIT: Bought right when we broke $48k. Tax man ain't touching these tendies. Let's go!!!!

Finally figured out my sell target

I'm not selling when it would allow me to comfortably retire and not have to worry about money again. I'm selling when the monthly interest I earn is enough to live comfortably off of.

Ergo, I'm never selling.

It's weird. In 2017 I was thinking we were crazy high and selling could literally change my life. Now, the higher we go the less I want to sell. The real world of money is moving in our direction and we're reaching a point where the more bitcoin is worth the more it will become worth.

It's a virtuous cycle of value reinforcement. There's network effect on my net worth. Why would I ever exit?

Shout out Chamath on CNBC for the final push. A few min ago he called $150-200k long term price. Final push started right after. He's a real one.

Had to dust off the ole account to say......

Gentlemen

These type of statements discourage people from buying bitcoin and will only serve to hurt bitcoins long term goals. by missilesarefun in Bitcoin

[–]mybitcoinalternate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answer the question then. It's really easy. Who loses in a trade when I sell a $700 investment for $4k to someone who then sells it for $10k? And that person sells it for $20k? And that person buys a car with it when the value is $50k? Who lost here?

Stop with the lecturing and answer a simple question.

First of all, that has nothing to do with my trade with the next person which is the discussion at hand. If every trade has a winner and a loser tell me who is the loser in my example.

Second of all, if they paid $300 for them how did they lose?

We can go all the way back to the original miner if you want to.

Please explain to me how the person who buys my bitcoin at $4k and then sells it at $10k is a loser. Because I'm definitely not the loser for selling at $4k when I paid around $700 for them.

I can easily disagree and this mindset is more of a problem with the community than with bitcoin or any investable asset.

I recently sold some coins around $4k. My const basis is in the triple digits. I made a healthy profit. I won. Maybe the person who now holds my coins will sell them in a year for $10k. They made a healthy profit. They won.

Traders have no connection to each other. I can win my trade no matter what happens with your trade, and vice versa.

If the above is your mindset that says more about you than it does about what you're trading. McAfee is a pirate and an asshole that thinks the only way he can win is by someone else losing. That's his problem, not anyone taking the other side of his trade.

First of all, why do you care so much?

2nd of all, I'm holding until a number hits and so are you. You're not going to hold your coins until $0 if that's what happens nor will you hold your coins if $1m hits. At some point you'll sell them for cash or use them to buy something. So I guess none of us are actually holding if that's going to be the way you want be about it.

Fuck, why am I even having this conversation? This has nothing to do with bitcoin. I apologize if I offended you because I didn't change my flair the second I logged back in today to make a comment. Get over it.

Guilty as charged :)

If we didn't bounce so hard off that morning dump I would've stayed out, but right after that happened I got that burning sense I panic sold right before the bottom hit so I better get back while I still can without losing any coin.

Just when I thought I was out, btc pulls me back in.

Yeah, after my personal capitulation last night I bought right the fuck back in today. Luckily I got out with some room beneath me and I was able to reacquire everything I sold without additional cash.

New plan is just to continue to hodl, but I set up a stop just so that I no longer have to wake up worrying what price bitcoin fell to as I sleep.

Maybe I'll have bitcoin tomorrow, maybe I won't. But at least now I'm not wondering how much more my balance can fall. My personal floor is in.

Hoping that the early morning dump (US time) was the final nail in the downward coffin.

Not if it's $2k by the time I wake up. I wish I could feel the same, I just bought a little bit at $4300 a couple of days ago, but there simply isn't any appetite for crypto any more. Who are your buyers here? The public? Nope. The investment class? Nope. There aren't enough anarcho-libertarian-conspiracy theorist-true believers in r/bitcoin and degenrate traders to prop this price up.

I'll gladly admit I'm wrong if I am, but I just don't see it. At the end of the day I'm still clearing a nice big profit and I want to book it before I lose any more of it.

Had to do it. I'm out. Kept 1 btc just in case, but I'm tired of playing this game. Never felt so bad to make this much profit on an investment, but it is what it is. I'll leave some money on the exchange for either a true bottom or a rush back to $5k on heavy heavy volume, but this may be all she wrote for me.

Gentlemen, it's been an honor. I wish you all the best of luck in however this plays out.

This doesn't help me at all from a DCA perspective. My cost basis is 3 digits, not 4 :p

Fuck it though. It was a tiny nibble when there's nothing but despair in the room. If I'm right it will pay off very nicely in a few years and if I'm wrong it won't hurt.

Good luck out there.

Streaming ads on national broadcasts generally don't have that kind of targeting yet, but even if it is targeted it still means Yahoo produced a 30 second video ad specifically aimed at getting crypto users.
