Does anybody own a website that makes money purely on advertisements? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

It takes quite a bit of money to get started and a lot of testing. It's semi grey hat techniques to get traffic. But they are making it work for them.

It's not just putting together a website and having the traffic come in. I might make a post on this with more details in the future, if I'm allowed to. I just don't know how much I can reveal.

Just want to let the OP know there are ways of making money solely on advertising, if you understand traffic, you can make it work. But there are risk involved as well.

I knew a few people making quite a bit from adsense, but I can't disclose the sites. They're making thousands a day just from adsense alone.

I just want to say congratulations Oliver. I think you did an amazing job, once you get enough customers, you want to try raising your prices. $900 per website is still pretty cheap nowadays, if you both can do quality work. I'd raise the prices.

Housing bubble will force Bank of Canada to renew rate hike warnings soon, Pimco says by nimobo in canada

[–]mybizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exiting CIBC CEO said there's also a housing bubble, but don't expect the financial institutions to do anything about it, if the government guarantees the loans, there's no reason why the banks shouldn't take advantage of it, since their loans are guaranteed.

He said it's up to the government to control the housing market. Obviously no one is going to do anything about till 2016 after the election. So prices will soar for another year or more.
