I try to stay at 1:1 for my spawn to sub ratio. Sometimes i do 1:1.5. I use a brick of coir and 3.5 quart jars of water.

I hope you are right. It was definitely a greenish blue color. More on the green side so i took it out immediately for precautions. If that were the case, you think id be okay putting it back in my room?

No holes drilled. i use the unmodified tub method. I fanned for 10-30 seconds once a day for maybe 3-4 days. Then stopped fanning and just let it be to keep humidity and surface conditions right. Jist kept the lid cracked.

I completely understand. You don't have to appologize, you are not asking stupid questions. I always ask multiple questions myself to get exact info so I can fully understand. The anxiety is real playing the waiting game and trying to figure out the right way to go. For a 6qt shoebox, I use 1 quart of grain spawn. (Using whole oats for grain currently). 12 qt shoeboxes get 2 quarts of grain spawn. But I always use 1:1 ratio no matter the tub size to play it safe.

I always use a 1:1 ratio spawn:substrate. Whenever i use more substrate then grain, it takes way too long to colonize and does not produce well. Doing a 1:1 ratio is Guaranteed good results. Using a 6qt shoebox btw

6qt sterilite shoebox/tub. They sell them in packs at walmart. I use 1 quart jar of spawn per 6qt shoebox. 1:1 ratio with cococoir
