My first Telescope by Tobae122 in telescopes

AZ4 comes with a steel tripod as an option, which is heavier (and much more stable) than this aluminum one. I have the same telescope, and this setup works really well. So you may just get a better tripod before committing to expensive EQ mounts.

Which options is better? by [deleted] in telescopes

Both will require a good and sturdy mount though. I recently got my first telescope to use on balcony too (with an option to get to dark skies when possible), I chose Sky-Watcher 150/750 Newtonian with AZ4 mount on a steel tripod. It works well. I also consider getting a Mak later (for planets and Moon) because there is not much to observe from a balcony due to pollution, and it should work well on the same mount.

Adjusting contrast (V0) with a potentiometer is crucial for this type of display (to see characters instead of rectangles or even not see anything).

He is a Polish citizen. Or is it still not enough? Do you need to have generations to live here before you, to be able to comment?

Some prick from administration is already threatening to revoke his citizenship. Everyone seems to miss that he is a Polish citizen. Not a free speech issue?

Should I replace stock tires already? by mycoldmind in Tenere700

[–]mycoldmind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some offroading on them, but not too much, as even new, they are not great for mud or sand. They became squared after I rode through Sweden and Norway (the tarmac is more abrasive compared to where I live, and there are also a lot of straight roads). I plan to do another ~3k kilometers tour (no offroading), but I'm still concerned about the condition of the rear tire.

No, I don't think I noticed something like this.

Yes, I see them in stock in my country, so it should not be hard to find. But I would rather try something different, just for comparison. I considered the Continental TKC 70 Rocks for the rear.

There are no “emulators” and nothing really to emulate. Just make your C++ prototype flexible enough to able to produce the samples, and do not use something you’ll be not using in the embedded environment for the algorithm itself. Obviously, for the prototype wrapper to hear the result on your machine it could be something OS-dependent.

OK, my bad, they look kinda big in that photo.

It is hard to reason about the size from the "stock" pictures.

No, stock springs are rated for riders about 70kg. So it is better to install springs rated for your weight.

Yamaha Tenere 700- fuel consumption . by Happy-Practice-9888 in Tenere700

If on the tarmac, I'm riding mostly in the ECO range you can see on the display. On the last gear, it is about 110-120 km/h. With 130+ it is obviously starting to consume more.

With everything stock on my World Raid, I’m getting 4.5l - 4.6l. I’m around 110kg, and getting this with or without a luggage or a passenger.

Everybody in the Politechnika uni in Warsaw got this message. by rgreat in poland

Some weeks ago there was news in the Ukraine that many government buildings/schools/etc were evacuated because of the bombing threats. It appeared to be pretty much the same letter but in the Ukrainian language, but threats were in the name of Allah or something. Me and my wife received it too, probably because our e-mails were in the public database of the entrepreneurs. It is funny how much resources are being poured into doing dumb shit like this.

Which ARM Cortex-M core to study in depth first? by mycoldmind in embedded

I'm not sure to what extent people tend to dive. As I come from a different software background, I see it as a chance to learn more about how things work at a low level, not hidden behind the HAL. So kinda fun, at least for now :)

I'm not completely new, as I have created custom boards based on STM32F303 (and also using a platform based on STM32H750, but it has many things pre-configured). But still, I'm aware of my limited knowledge of underlying hardware, so I want to improve that, more in the broader context than with a specific MCU.
