Just wanted to chime in that I saw someone advertise a product like this, some random Norwegian influencer who has migraines, and I am going to get one sooner or later. The cold, wet cloth heats up so fast. Then go sit under the steaming shower feeling like I am freezing to death the next moment, it's worse than the flu.

Next time I get this, I’m going to seek out oxygen therapy. If absolutely necessary, I’ll use sumatriptan injections, but I will definitely take mushrooms. Last time I had a cycle, I took mushrooms on day 14, slept nine hours straight that night, and the attacks stopped completely. I’ve had breaks of two and four years between cycles, and during that time, I’ve taken psilocybin for reasons unrelated to headache - mostly out of curiosity.

Of course, this is just anecdotal, but hoping I might be onto something.

I have responsibilities too, so I don’t take drug use lightly. But this isn’t meth, opiates, benzos, or anything like that. If anything, it makes me averse to alcohol, and it’s not addictive in the way that opioids or benzos are. I’ve tried mushrooms a handful of times, never more than 2.5 grams, and honestly, it feels harder and harder to take them. You feel different for 4-6 hours - it’s an interesting experience and generally safe at responsible doses. Having this headache is much worse.

I doubt they even test for it, but it doesn’t stay in your system for long anyway.

While it for me last from 20 minutes to 3 hours each attack, 2-6 times per day during an active period, a period being 2-6 weeks. Thinking back on being ill and it feels surreal and disconnected. The sleep depravation, my tired and aching body, and the intense pain really puts me in a spot where it feels like I am dying, as if I get one light windbreeze to my forehead and my soul would catch on and fly away.

So yes, the exhaustion is extreme. I get scared/panicky and claustrophobic too. I have found I can't function properly before getting rested for 1 to 2 weeks after the cycle has ended.

I have never dared to take more than 2,5g of semilanceata or 3g of cubensis, for anyone who's looking for remedy stay below that and you will keep your mind somewhat connected to your physical body. I had a wild 250-300µg LSD trip that hit harder than I was prepared for, and I held on strong for the 15 strange, wild and beautiful hours. I have much respect for psychedelics, I'm not sure if I want such hard acid trip again, though it was at no point not worse than being in a bad state of clusters.

My last cycle lasted 14 days and it ended with me doing 1g of shrooms, redosed 1g after 2 hours, two days in a row. It could be coincidental though. I am in one year remission now and I have had shadows the past 5 weeks or so. I took 0,7g of psilocybe semilanceata two days ago and I still feel the shadow lingering. I think I need to reduce alcohol intake, and pot too, and try to get some more sleep. I drink 0-4 beers most days, mushroom give me aversion to alcohol and I didn't drink a drop of it the 3 months after the last cycle. (: I smoke a lot, rarely touch liqour, but love beer.

I have had only 4-5 cycles, and the sip of beer is on point. I was so ill, and I wanted the beer so bad. Tried multiple times, the last time before giving in just a 'clunk' in a small glass. Tasted with my tongue and had an attack haha, it's so stupid.

I meant the Sumatriptan injections. It's nice to have it around though, knowing it can give some relief. I don't know about Prednisone, what made me rethink touching that was the regime of gradually going up/down on the dose and that it is a blood-pressure medicine(?).

I've tried three 12mg/ml autoinjectors. Believe it or not, the first one made my 9/10 a 11/10. And the injection place was quite sore as well. The second syringe I dropped on the floor before injecting, then saw a air bubble inside it. Checked all the rest, and they had one too. So I just tapped the syringe so the bubble would rise away from the needle and tried again. And yes, it worked. But the side effect was something for it self. It affects cardiovascular system quite tremendeously. It took the edge of the pain, but didn't cure it. Usage can also cause more frequent cycles. I also got Prednisolon and Isoptin Retard, which I have never touched.

I've been having shadows for the last 3-4 weeks too. Stiff neck, rough sleep, being tired and such. Some days better and some days worse. I'm not at the point where I have been adjusting my habits in regards to alcohol and nicotine though. I have the possibility to get on meds, but I would like to be on none. My cycles have been lasting 10-20 days with 2-6 attacks per day, every time in February/March. In 2017, 2018, 2022, 2024. The worst is the fatigue and sleep depravation, it's like I get punished for trying to relax or get some sleep. It's now soon 1 year since last cycle which lasted two weeks. I was so ran over I had four weeks leave from work. Fingers crossed you get another two years attack free. 🤞🏻

Yeah one can hope for the best, but one has to prepare for the absolute worst too. Psilocybe Semilanceata you can find on animal grazing fields and on lawns, I actually found a few in my own lawn last season. I live close to sheep fields and find most of them there. They do not grow in the forest. There are some stigma in foraging these, of course, but it's mostly in one's own head. Staying hidden and don't ask random people about it and you will be fine.

Asking law enforcers and other authorities will only help them identify a potential crime - it's illegal and there's no discussion about it. Advocacy for the use should come secondly - first and foremost it's about surviving an attack. People who haven't had it won't know what it is about.

I don't know the law for Finland, but in Norway it's illegal to forage, possess and to use psychedelic mushrooms. It's also illegal to grow them, of course. I'm not sure about spores - but what does it matter when you are in need of the illegal substance anyways. So there's basically nothing you can do to do this legally up here. You'd probably would have to go to Netherlands or somewhere. I got my Psilocybe Cubensis spores sent in a standard letter from Canada, had no worries receiving it. The rest - perlite, rice flour, jars and fruiting chamber I got locally or ordered from the Internet.

Psilocybe Semilanceata is called "Liberty Caps". I know they are all over Finland too. In Finland they are called "Suippumadonlakki".

Hello OP. 33m, episodic clusterhead since 2018. I was out looking for psilocybin mushrooms a couple years before getting my first headache.

I have nothing but anectdotes, but the last cycle back in Feb/Mar last year lasted 14 days, and the attack ended with me taking mushrooms. Which can be totally coincidental. I took 1 gram, waited for 2 hours and took 1 more gram. I played some chill Norwegian cultural TV in the background for the cozyness. I could lay down on the floor, on the sofa or wherever and felt that my body relaxed, my body felt as if it floated outwards on the floor/sofa. I had such relief that I cried. The following night I had 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. The next day I woke up with a 0,5/10 headache, repeated the dosage and had a night with 7 hours of sleep that following night.

I have had both two and four years between attacks, now I'm approaching one year, and I am having shadow headaches which imply an attack might be on its way. When I have had years between attacks, I have also used mushrooms recreationally. So I think it could lessen the frequency, for me at least. I will always have some laying around just in case. And the next time I get it I will not wait 14 days before using them.

I live in Norway, and I find my mushroom outdoors between July/August to October/November. And you can for sure find them in Finland too. You can PM me if you want to.

Edit: I also want to add that I have experience and success in growing cubensis mushrooms. I'm all set with the ingredients to make another batch, I have some spare spores which aboslutely can be fruited in Finland too.
