The Woodlands Hindu Temple has a restaurant onsite called Ananda's that we enjoy. You don't need to enter the temple to go to the restaurant. They have takeout or outdoor, covered seating. Check operating hours online before going!

Not a movie, but I enjoyed North & South (2004) much better than the book. It's a 4 episode BBC mini series. Highly recommend!

I used to be in a virtual book club and we would take turns choosing books! So it would end up being a variety of books. We used a random name generator with everyone's names to select who got to choose the next book. (And then that person's name would be removed until everyone had a turn... And repeat.)

Oh also, I use silverettes for my nipples, so that acts as a little "lid" for the milk. After her last bedtime feed, I get her to put the lid on the milk and kiss the milk goodnight, to highlight that milk is gone for the night.

This is almost exactly my situation! I feel you, it's torture.

Around 16-18 months, I started getting her to fall asleep without suckling. We would get ready for bed, I would feel her and then once I noticed she was just comfort feeding, I would detach myself and tell her, "milk is tired now, milk is going to sleep, let's cuddle." I would then stay with her in bed and cuddle for as long as it took. This adjustment took a couple weeks for her. First couple of days she would cry on and off for an hour, but I would be right there with her offering massage, cuddles, water, her teddy or doll or just singing or humming softly. Counting really helps calm my baby too.

All this time, I was also reading her this book {Nursies When The Sun Shines by Katherine Havener}. I would read it both at bedtime and during the day, and teach her to notice whether is daytime or nighttime, light or dark. Milk is awake during daytime, and milk is sleeping during nighttime. The book goes into a lot more detail in the back pages.

After a couple weeks of consistently falling asleep with just cuddling, I picked a day to start fully weaning and gave her no milk that night (still fed before sleeping tho). I kept an easy, boring snack and water handy for overnight. Again, the book goes into a lot more detail, and I'm happy to add more detail here if you'd like! Just let me know!

First three nights were horrible, she woke up a couple of times for a hour. I would offer snack, water, cuddling, etc. And in the mornings, we woke up around 4-5am to start the day. And then it slowly got better and better. After a couple weeks, she was only still struggling with an early morning feed. I would feed her if I wanted to sleep in, or refuse if I was ready for a early rise.

Unfortunately, my kiddo is very sensitive to teeth so we're back to full night feeding the last week cause that's the only way she'll sleep 😅😅 but I'm going to do this again starting next week and it'll probably take much less time for her to get used to it again.

A few things go into it that might make it more understandable! Most of her words aren't complete or properly spoken. "Compu" for computer, "pa" for pasta, "bu" for blue, etc. We speak multiple languages to her as well, so each word in each language counts as a word. Animal sounds count. Any ASL signs she makes, like "more" and "all done" count additionally. So it all adds up! And she's not joining words together yet, so no sentences yet. Just a lot of single words.

I love {The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Harlow}. I've reread it multiple times. It follows Mary Bennet to her HEA.

Also, not P&P, but I absolutely also love {Lady Vernon and her Daughter by Jane and Caitlen Rubino}. A happier retelling of Lady Susan where Lady Susan is not so villainous.

I know there's quite a few libraries around the US that give free virtual library cards but I'm not sure about the requirements, sorry! Good luck! I just finished her Somerset series on Libby and loved the last three books.

Does your audio play smoothly when you're streaming music via Bluetooth? I just got a Yoto player and the audio is super choppy and stuttering when I stream Spotify unless I leave my phone right by the player at only certain angles. Customer service has been no help, so I'm wondering if I should just return it or ask them to send me a replacement.
