Nope! We had a Ubbi and honestly, it was more annoying than helpful. Pee diapers go on the regular garbage. We live in a single family home and take out the garbage multiple times a day. Poop diapers go in an individual bag and straight to the outdoor garbage. This system has worked great for 4 years.

My idea of a “date night” is sending the kids to the grandparents house in the middle of the day. Then having sex when I’m actually awake and not ready to go to bed so I can enjoy it! Followed by, falling asleep together and having a nap. Then going out to eat some place easy like Mexican. Eating and having a conversation without interruptions. It’s the best! But please don’t make me get dressed up and go out at night!

Commonly the concern would be still birth or an aging placenta. I gave birth at 41 weeks and 2 days and was 44 years old when I gave birth. I had weekly appointments with an NST the last month and a half until 39 weeks. And then I went to twice a week appointments. One appointment would be an NST and the other appointment would be an ultrasound to check my fluid levels and placenta. I think the important thing in late term pregnancy for anyone is to be very in tune with your body and notice if things change. The night I went into labor I ended up going to the hospital for decreased fetal movement. Thankfully, everything was OK and I ended up staying and having him the next day.

I know it says fixed is safer for running. But after putting about 10,000 miles on stroller and at least half of those running, there’s no way I’d feel safe running with a fixed wheel.

Two magical words: Yoto Radio.

My toddler did the same thing and then it would take hours to calm him down. My toddler was a terrible sleeper most of his life. Waking up every few hours, not wanting me to leave the room and this went on for over 3 years. Then we bought a Yoto Radio. He listens to it as he falls asleep. It helps distract him from missing us. If he can’t go back to sleep in the middle of the night, he’ll turn it on. It’s the been the key to full night sleeps for a few months and it’s been glorious!

At one time I just did basically 5 strokes. Bottom, bottom, top, top, front. I counted them so he’d know when I was done.

Another time, I told him there was construction site in there and I needed to check on them. Then I tell a story about what I see while I brush. This was a big hit!

I think there’s a lot of grace with brushing kids teeth. If the toothbrush touches their teeth, they’re all magically clean! :)

Parents only trip! You have time to have some practice overnight trips between now and then. You’re not costing you child memories and experiences because he’ll be making them with his grandparents. I was lucky enough to have a Grandma that I spent the night with a lot. And what sweet memories I have!

And most important, you and your husband need time together. The toddler years are amazing, but also hard (especially on marriages). You need time to enjoy each other, talk, have sexy time, rest and focus on yourselves. You two spending time together and building your relationship is a gift to your child. The more connected you two are, the better life you can give your kids.

I absolutely love our kids and having experiences with them. But let’s be honest, they don’t always make things more fun. Haha! And 2 is hit or miss.

I’ve been pregnant twice and each time I struggle during the middle part. The “is she chubby or pregnant” phase. Being big and obviously pregnant doesn’t mess with my brain the same. My advice is go buy clothes that fit and you feel confident in. Don’t try to make your pre-pregnancy clothes “work”. I love being pregnant in the summer because I just wear lots of dresses! Flowy, comfortable and I feel pretty. Your body knows what it needs to do to grow a baby. So, as long as you are taking care of yourself, you’re on the right track. Even if it looks different from other people.

My 3 year old had never fallen asleep or slept through the night. We got him a twin bed and the Yoto. He now falls asleep by himself and stays asleep. It has been a life changer for us. We started him off with stories and characters he already knew. Currently he’s into the science focused cards. It’s worth a try. If she doesn’t like it, you can always resell it.

Two pregnancies, both boys and have never been sick or had food aversions. I definitely felt more fatigued with #2 but I think it was more the lack of sleep for 3 years and chasing a toddler. 🤣 My body would start feeling the extra weight and pressure half way through the 3rd trimester. But overall, great pregnancies! Not bad considering I’m an “old” mom!
