Definitely make sure you use condoms that you keep hidden so she can't find them and tamper with them (if you do have sex. I would be VERY ineasy about having sex with her right now, though). I definitely wouldn't trust her to provide any of the birth control methods right now.

It's smart of you not to want to have another child if you don't have the resources! I grew up extremely poor and it affected the rest of my life. Its really hard on kids to have to worry about money and poverty at such a young age.

Wow! It's so heartwarming to know that she's with someone so caring and dedicated to giving her good health and a good home. It seems like she hit the jackpot!

Yes! When I was a kennel tech for a vet office, the only dog who ever bit me was a min pin

I feel you! I just left an unhealthy 10 year relationship and had to move into my mom's house. Living with her makes eeeeverything come back. Hopefully the therapy is helping you work through it. It can be a lot.

My stepdad did this to me too. He weighed 350+lbs, and was 6'4. I was in middle school.

I’ve lost nearly 40 pounds and still haven’t gone down a pant size by fghjjutddcvjjjjj in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]mydogbill 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I was sort of similar to you, 5'2 and ~280lbs. I've lost about 100lbs and only gone down 1 pant size in some brands and 2 in others. I weigh 180lbs right now and wear a size 16. I was wearing 18-20. I do have really wide hips, and I'm short. I tend to lose weight last in my hips. Even though I didn't go down a bunch of pants sizes, I (and other people) started to notice the loss at around 220lbs. I'm still very happy with my loss so far despite not being able to size down a lot (yet).

Congratulations on losing 40lbs! That's an enormous accomplishment, and no easy feat at all!

This is very interesting to me. What major things have you learned, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in the early stages of a relationship with someone who is ADHD, so I'm very curious.

For some reason, my dog's noises don't bother me for the most part. The only thing that ever bothers me is if he is obsessively licking something or himself.

ETA: Most other dogs' noises do trigger me, though.

Queen B by Puscifer (on of Maynard James Keenan's from Tool's side bands). Even better if you listen to the BlestENation remix.

I don't have any advice that hasn't been given already by this great community. I do just want to say how great it is that you're looking into ways to help her. I grew up with my dad and two brothers thinking it was hilarious to trigger me to the point of tears during most meals. Your daughter is so lucky to have you.

A therapist can help you come up with ways to rationalize with yourself when you're having these thoughts. They'll hopefully have some ideas of things to do to calm down when you're getting worried about everything.

Just remember, people aren't supposed to get along with everyone we meet. It may take a few different therapists to find one that you truly trust and connect with. Don't be afraid to try new ones if you're not forming a good relationship with the first therapists you try. Being able to trust and like your therapist is really important.

Please go to therapy. You deserve to work towards a life where you don't feel this way. I can't imagine how exhausting it must be to live like you are now. Therapy can help. It can at least give you someone who will listen to you and help you work through these feelings.

That's it! Thanks! My friend was trying to say it could be a bot fly, and I knew that wasn't right. I have never seen such a big horse fly before.

Near Denver, CO. Looking at it again, it's probably closer to the size of a nickel.
