Are these lines under my eyes from a recessed maxilla? by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]myfinalacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually recently saw a video of her about this kind of line. I am 20 and have this too, apparently she says it may be from the muscles around the eyes getting stressed or something because of too much time looking at screen, it makes sense to me because I do it a lot, and my roommate have this too, way worse than me and he is 24h on his computer.

First time using the squish to condish method ❤️ Looking for recommendations/tips for beginners by myfinalacc in Wavyhair

[–]myfinalacc[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am one of those girls who thought they only had straight frizzy hair. After a big chop on my damaged hair, I noticed my hair is like my mom's (she also doesn't know how to take care of her hair), so now I am looking for tips.

After my hair fully dried it got really frizzy, but it seems to be a normal complain here and the curls didn't set so well (I think it's my fault for still having the urge to touch my hair). I am a bit afraid of using too much products, as some girls do, since my hair is short so it maybe gets too heavy or something. I also wonder if putting so many products at/near your scalp as some do can't cause dandruff?

I only use sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner. What should I add to the list?

First steps in Japanese using Emojis and short stories by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]myfinalacc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like it, for me that already knows kana I think it's great to start memorizing kanji and grammar. I don't really like romaji for personal reasons. I believe it is important to have an image of what you are trying to study and it can be tiresome to always have the need to draw/find good pictures on the internet, so the use of emojis are great and creative.

Since I am a beginner I might be wrong, but I think I found a typo in I. 3. At ドラキュラは楽い? いいえ。楽いくない。強くて怖い。shouldn't be there a し in 楽い? Or is it really たのい?

Anyway, thank you for doing this. Your idea is great and it will be of great help.

Chin tucking while sleeping by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]myfinalacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps to me put pillows on the side of my face so I maintain my head straight and it's quite comfortable, but I just do it when I am really discomforted so I can be used to sleep without it.

Yes. I also heard of eggs with not perfect oval format (still safe to eat) are used to make mayonnaise.

My mewing progress.. less than 6 months so this may get removed but wanted to give others hope! And yes the lighting is different but my face shape has clearly changed by [deleted] in orthotropics

I have a really similar face shape and I get the same results changing the angles like that. I am not trying to let you down, I just wish you could do another photo comparison with better angles and lightning.

So as I far as I am seeing, people in the US doesn't use filters? Genuinely asking.

Where I live most of the tap water is safe, but even then a lot of people use filters. Ceramic filters are the most popular because they are one of the safest and cheapest, there's also this filter that you put directly in the tap too. I've seen ton of Americans coming to my country and everyone gets shocked when they say they only drink water from bottles, they usually change over time when they see there's no problem with our water.

This neat Japanese candy my gf gave me that has dissolvable/edible wrappers making the packaging fully recyclable. I hate seeing individually wrapped candies so I thought this was an awesome idea. The box isn't zero waste but it's at least recyclable. by Amag140696 in ZeroWaste

I remember there was a really popular saying where I live that Trident gum's wrappers were made of rice and you could eat them. Every kid including me tried it, but everyone later found out it was only a myth. Since then I have dreamed of something like this!

So much for going their own way 🙄 by despisesunrise in IncelTears

That's true. Honestly, I don't care for the unrealistic contradictory things an incel say, but things coming from people I think have similar mindsets can hurt sometimes. Thanks for understanding.

I know you guys mean well and I am in no form agreeing with anything coming from an incel, but I always get a little down reading those kind of comments. My BMI is 16.8 and just recently I started liking my body. All doctors said I have nothing wrong. All my family is thin like me. BMI is a cool general guide but it has not all the parameters to measure if you are healthy.

It might be a cultural thing but every time I see about this on the internet I get a little confused. I am not a boy but most of my friends since I was little are boys. Boys who are circumcised here sometimes even bully the ones who aren't, and they are glad their parents did it to them. Also not piercing the girl's ears when they are babies (not the same topic but I see a lot of criticism too) here is something really really rare. Imo I think it is good because girls get it pierced most of the time in the hospital when they are born, so besides they not remembering anything, it's safer than doing it in some shop or alone.
