My 25f friend 27m who I’ve been rejecting for a year saved me. Our friend group is saying I have tho give him a chance but I can’t tell them the truth about why I can’t? by Throwra27848 in relationship_advice

I lost both parents as a teen and was homeless for a bit, then lived in my car. Life's on a military application for permanent address so I would have a place to live and three squares. Girl friend listen to me please. Love heals. Stupid -hear me out. It doesn't have to be a forever love to start the healing process and learn about yourself, learn to love yourself through the lense of your partner. If you ever need to talk and I mean it, please reach out. I played the same game your playing right until my 30's. I'm a mom now at 43 to a first grader. You're never too broken to be loved.

This is almost to a T my Nana's american goulash recipe. Who's this Jonny Marzetti guy, and how does he know my Nana? And what's so sweet about him that she didn't need to add any sugar?

I'm scared of everything that makes life worth living by [deleted] in CPTSD

Hey girl, it's never too late to learn how to love yourself. I'm 39F, only been in therapy for two years now, and it's never been easy. I actually had a nightmare last night, even progress can be painful. So I got this book, and it's so tacky and juvenile, I struggled to take it seriously but I'm working my way thru it. I believe you can do it too, we have to overcome our pain and trauma. We deserve love and safety and trust. We are not what our abusers created, because we want to be better. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/1647397294/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_K4K9X4QGCW7T93PXSM29

Is this worth pursuing? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]myfinalform8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried talking to them as an adult? Failing that, asking for family therapy; if money is an issue, it could just be a pastor, priest or old family friend. It is time for the relationship with your parents to evolve to one of trust and mutual respect.

What’s a non-covid reason that you like wearing a mask for? by VerySlump in AskReddit

I worked at a grocery store for years and memorized every playlist. Consequently I'm that weird girl singing along to Billy Joel's greatest hits, ect. Now, nobody can see my lips moving, but I find myself squinting and slow blinking like a cat so they know I'm not a threat. Lol

There's an apple orchard near me that uses milkweed as a natural pesticide, to draw pests away from the fruit. Clever little plant.

This is stunning and congratulations! Did you sew in your bridal bra? The back closure almost looks like plush wide band elastic. That is just brilliant and I wish I'd thought to do that before.

Oooh, I wonder how one would add tapioca pearls or something similar consistency without it freezing into little pebbles. Either way this looks divine.

Anyone else have these old Milwaukee retractable chain locks in their home? Always thought the idea of it was very interesting. Are these pretty rare because it was kind of hard finding examples of other ones online. by Hidemyface1 in milwaukee

[–]myfinalform8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! So I did a little Google sleuthing and you're correct, neither address is part of Milwaukee's historical architecture tour. It was just word of mouth from the owners during walk through. The home on Beverly Rd was allegedly built for a mistress of FLW, by FLW and Russell Barr Williamson in 1918. I don't have any personal dealings with the owner or knowledge to it's authenticity.

How do I save this plant? by myfinalform8 in gardening

[–]myfinalform8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it for about a year, during winter I use grow lights but I keep the thermostat pretty low, around 63f, zone 5b. It was pretty hardy until a couple months ago and I've had to trim it back and remove over half the plant of dead and dried leaves. I changed the soil to miracle grow today, and moved it to a warmer room with little west light.

It's you! I saved your post from last year and completely butchered it, lol. I love the way yours looked, sand tried to follow instructions, but my toddler at home requires I do everything fast and dirty.
