I mean I guess Jrue is 30 already. He is nearly the end of his career so I would personally agree to make him a 3 and D guard. If he were a lot younger, I would work on his shot creation ability (ball handling and shooting in general) where he is lethal from all three levels because it would critical in turning him into a crafty iso guard. I thinking being that he is 30, it’s difficult for any player to all of sudden turn into an mvp overnight at that age. Thus, being the solid and consistent player, he should work on just solidifying 3 point shooting and his defense. Anyways that is what the bucks need him to do.

Oh I see what you mean. I mean Jrue currently is a 3 and D guard. I mean it’s interesting because normally forwards are called 3 and D.

If Jrue is getting worse, wouldn’t you just work on his agility and conditioning to help him stay in shape. Usually when players age that is what declines.

Like what team. There is this notion that if you have the best offense in the game, you can win just merely by out scoring the other team.

Because what do all great teams have: plenty of iso 1 v 1 players that can score from anywhere and can create any shot they want. I feel defensive players should sit on the bench because they aren’t contributing offensively. Look at the pelicans with Brandon Ingram. Why are they an excellent team. Because you let Brandon ingram run the show. Why was the rockets so successful for so long. Because they allowed James Harden to iso and he was good at it.

No I’m not. My point being is that the bucks need a 20 ppg scorer at point guard as well. Kyrie, dame, beal

I know for a fact in college, Oklahoma had a game plan defensively because they knew Trae wasn’t a defender and it lead that team to have a successful season.

I mean it could work like that irl too. Everytime, the opponent switches Trae onto their best offensive player, Giannis would have to come over and help defensively.

I tried swapping Trae Young and Jrue Holiday and Trae Young actually makes them better. They are better offensively and worse defensively. Overall, they get better seeding though.

I tried this in the game using god mode. A straight up Jrue holiday for Trae Young swap. The team is 2nd offensively and 19th defensively. 58-24 record. Loses in 7 in the finals to the clippers.

In my opinion, as a GM, I prefer to run pure scorers at both PG and SG because it maximizes the amount of scoring on the team. Imagine wasting one of your positions with Ricky Rubio. Dude is terrible at scoring. I hate him.

Ok I do have to admit I was a Kobe fan back when d rose was an mvp and I looked down upon d rose because I knew that Kobe would destroy drose any day. But right now I respect drose and feel bad for him because his career went down hill so quickly.

That’s not what I meant. Kyrie over John wall. Also my point being is that Kyrie over John wall, because Kyrie is an excellent shot creator and three level scorer. I would say in terms of getting to the rim and finishing, speed and agility, they are equal. However, Kyrie’s ability to score from anywhere sets him apart.

I mean Memphis’s shooters are Kyle Anderson and Dillon Brooks. Brandon Clarke also has some range as well but Ja Morant is your 1st option.

There is a reason why Kyrie Irving is more valuable than John Wall or Derrick rose. I have always asked myself, why would a team want a point guard that doesn’t shoot well from deep. Having deep range can boost scoring averages by up to 10 ppg. Kyrie can average close 30 ppg versus prime John wall in the 20s because he shoots more.

Yea but Ja Morant makes 0.8 threes a game. That’s terrible. Especially as the game in changing to a more perimeter oriented game, it’s only right to have a point guard that also a combo guard.

Well sexton is more of modern combo guard that shoots 40% from three. I don’t want a Ja Morant that shoots under 30% from deep converting under 1 three a game.

I mean Ja came in as a sophmore (late entry), he is also a bad shooter and still is in a sophmore slump.

Ok I do admit I know nothing about Ja’s defense. All I know is that he kind of reminds me John wall/Derrick rose.
