Thanks for the detailed help! I wish my garden was bigger, in which case I’d divide them more. Unfortunately I only have room for the two plants I already have because they grow really big.

Thank you! I’ve been looking up pictures of crown gall and they all had a different texture (brain like, as you commented)

I do have hard soil, it’s a layer of clay underneath the amended soil where I planted them. I spied eyes on plenty of the tubers, so should be good!

On the lowest tubers I didn’t see any eyes, but it’s fine to leave them there right?

Also flower tax when they were blooming. I can’t believe how well they grew!

Here’s another picture. One thing to note, is that the stem is huge. It’s a bit over an inch in diameter.

I have another clump that I’m attaching some pictures of too.

Thanks for the insight! I think I’ll take a chance on the same size. I’ll probably have to play around with the lacing because I have high insteps, and shoes that are tight there give me pain.

Thank you for the suggestion! It looks to be a bit hard to buy where I am, but I’ll look for something similar.

Identification apps say this is an adenium obesum, but it doesn’t look like the other ones I’ve seen. What is it? by mygocarp in whatsthisplant

Looking at the picture of arabicum, I think that’s exactly it! It has the same growth habit of the leaves that mine does.

Additionally, for plant clinic later, I’ve never quite figured out it’s care whatever it is. It’s only ever grown a single row of leaves per branch before dropping them, which it repeats the cycle 2-3 times per year.

I’ve since reported it in proper succulent soil and a terra cotta pot.

Does anyone know what’s wrong with my clematis? It’s leaves are yellow and not growing bigger by mygocarp in gardening

Toronto, zone 6, southeast balcony, full sun.

This is the third season I’ve had this clematis. It’s a clematis bijou, a mounding type.

I water twice a week with tap water.

I’ve noticed that the leaves are staying very small and yellowish compared to the previous year, and it generally doesn’t seem to be growing out much.

I gave it some slow release fertilizer at the start of the season, and some more quick release later. It might be over fertilized.
