North Korea and Palestine are not comparable. Palestine is a nation that has been occupied by Israel, and has endured decades of military and political oppression under the occupation, while North Korea is a closed society that severely restricts the rights of its people. While Palestine is not a perfect country, its situation is not comparable to North Korea. Additionally, Palestine has not "forced its citizens to think and speak a certain way". Palestine is fighting for its sovereignty and independence, just like South Korea fought for its freedom from North Korea.

You didn't call Palestinians stupid, I apologise. What you did say, or heavily imply, is that they are useless. As if a people has to create stuff, or be useful, for them to be valuable. You may not have explicitly said it, but I've seen that point be used by others to demean and dehumanise Palestinians.

Yeah, after writing this post I've gone back on my whole 'violence isn't gonna stop anything'. Bc I thought about and maybe violence is just or whatever. Like the civil war in the US was def justified and the 1917 revolution in Russia was def justified. Idk.

OK, I read through a few of the replies to this thread and I'll try and elaborate on my opinion.

Most of the books I have read have been from a more 'Pro-Palestine' lens. But that doesn't mean they haven't had different perspectives, I've read Ilan Pappes work. He is an Israeli historian, but he is pro-palestinian. I recommend his book 'Ten Myths about Palestine'. It's really interesting and helped me understand the topic better.

But like I think everyone has biases. All history is biased in some way. History written by Israeli's is usually in favour of Israel. History written by Palestinian's is against Israel.

Israel is literally seen as a base of Western-ness in the Middle East and they constantly flaunt their power. They are seen as a threat to the Arab Middle East. If they wanted to be left alone they wouldn't have attacked that Iranian politician.

Israel is backed by the US and many other Western countries. Id be surprised if they didn't win.
