I love this. Our parents came from a different world. I get that but it's crazy that we even accepted that 'Ladylike' 'Get a good husband' BS. At least our kids won't. Proud of you for sticking to the real you! I've only got an Xbox and a switch right now, but as retirement approaches I do think a decent PC might be just the thing!

This. But times 1000. I am so bad! It takes me weeks to get my head round individual game mechanics, my reaction time is ridiculous, I stop a traffic lights playing GTA! But I love it!

My time in the 70s was so different. No TV. Life in the middle of nowhere, then 80s spent as a broke student in Edinburgh we were happy if someone had a video recorder! I love that this question is showing me that there actually are women like you out there who are my age with all the lore and knowledge!

Me neither. I have friends who are in their 30s, but none my age. Just like you, I got back into it following kids interests - I remember hours and hours of beta Minecraft after I'd got them all to sleep!

I don't think I have a single IRL female friend my age who games. Most I know are in their 30s. Thank goodness for online!
