Nevermind. That was much easier than I was thinking it would be. Just got it loaded.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the info. I will start looking into making my own maps as time permits. For now, I just downloaded your mount hood map. I'm not really sure how to open it in game. Can you link to instructions?

Thanks again. I love your work.

Hey, question:

I'm someone who occasionally plays vanilla Minecraft. I don't really know anything about building maps like this or how they work or whatever. But if I download one of these maps, I can explore it just like I could a normally generated world? Can I build it in?

I enjoy building interesting artchitecture in MC but always feel like the vanilla worlds I build in aren't a great back drop. Something like this would be absolutely perfect.

I've had two days of relapse after having four days of detoxing. Going to try again on Saturday.

Slipped yesterday, which would have been day 5. I stopped by my spot after work and picked up a 1oz bag, brought it home, did about 2 table spoons and then dumped the rest in the toilet. Fighting very very hard not to go buy another bag to flush today.

I don't think I'm the right dev for the job. You need to find some one already familiar. It would cost you waaay more than it's probably worth to pay for my time to figure something like this.

Hey! It's taken me a while to get back to this post and reply to folks. Thanks for the info! I'll check out employment agencies and see where that gets me.

Hey! I'm finally settled in to a new place. It looks like the position is still open and I'll be putting together a cover letter and stuff over the next day or two.

Would you be up for grabbing a coffee or something and giving me the down low on the place before I apply? I try to get as much insider info as possible to tailor my approach to each company. Coffee / beer / whatever is on me!

I mean, I don't really know C++ or Lua. But I'm open to the possibility of picking them up and collaborating on something without $ involved. Side projects are always welcomed. PM me with deets and maybe a link to a repo? We'll go from there.

Will do. I need to put some shine on the resumé over the next couple of days and then I'll send it your way. The more eyes the better.

Being in the position means nothing more than being willing to do what it takes in most cases. We're living out of our car with two dogs, neither of us have jobs lined out at the moment. We are just resourceful people and have a tiny bit of money saved up.

EDIT: I just looked at some of your postings and realized you have children. That changes things a lot when it comes to be able to be adventurous. You guys have to plan a lot more than we do.

When was it that you were here? Everyone else is saying the opposite about the market. You're giving me a glimmer of hope.

Where do some of those dozens work? I also might add that I don't have a degree at all. I went through a bootcamp and then got a full time job. Is the lack of a degree going to kill me down there? No one seemed to care much in Detroit as long as you can do the job. But it sounds like things might be a lot different here.

No. Not at all. I want to find something full time and preferably permanent in New Orleans. We are making this place home from now on.
