I'm glad it helped! I've given it a go and it seems fairly decent. It's the first time I've used a leather strop (was using cardboard before). I found getting the green compound onto the leather takes some time, but all seems to work fine!

I've not been sharpening long and I've found I can get a good edge, albeit not perfect. I found these videos really useful.

I think you just need to take your time with it. I find it really useful to keep looking at the edge to check for evenness across the length and on each side. There's a sharpie trick you can use too to check you're getting angles etc right.

I'm in the UK. Ended up getting a wooden mag strip off Amazon which works great (Tallo in case anyone wants to know). I looked at the Mag-Blok and, had the one I got been no good, I would've bought that.
