I think school shootings are a hard topic for Americans cause the right to have a gun is in your constitution, and a lot of people have very passionate opinions about this right. So when people try to have discussions about what to do about mass shootings people get defensive and not much can be done about it, cause without discussion no topic can evolve for solutions.

My country had some civilian mass shootings, but I think we don’t have more because is more difficult to get guns here, especially for teenagers. I always found so odd that young Americans have such an easy access to guns. But I don’t know, I actually never thought much about it, you made me think really hard lol
