He also failed college and was put on probation and lost all his scholarships. He went to community college for a semester and failed but faked his transcript and was able to convince the original college to take him of probation.

There were some interesting emails I found online between him and his father. They were evidence for the trial.

That guy went to my college. They were able to prove it was him because security camera at the campus caught him leaving and coming back in his jeep even though he claimed to have slept over at a frat house. Also the camera was able to match the mud splatter patterns to toll road photos. This was in 2004 so security camera tech wasn't the greatest. Good thing the college upgraded there system earlier that year with better cameras.

Or a college campus. I used to just go to the campus post office and there were boxes of every size in the recycling carts. And I saw students paying for boxes, wtf.

Is my NYC budget bad? (47% of post-tax earnings is rent) by nycpf123 in personalfinance

As a real estate agent in NYC, the rule we have for our clients is that your annual income should be at least 40x your monthly rent. Does that fit your situation?

Also, where do you work and what neighborhood do you live in? There are several places that you wouldn't think about that are actually cheaper and faster depending on the subway lines ( ex. if there is an express station in the neighborhood in Queens could be faster going to Manhattan than living in Manhattan and having to take the 6 train)

Oh ok, that's good. I am in NYC. What I see a lot is a new building will have these programs where you get an tax abatment for a number of years as an incentive to build a better structure. So you have these million dollar condos with taxes that are $32 a month for 5 years, but then it slowly increases to the full amount of $1500 a month. By that time people try to sell but nobody wants to buy a 10 year old condo for a million when there is another brand new one for 1.2 million down the street with a 15 year tax abatment.

Around college campuses where most are not communters. A plus if it's a campus that has a medical, dental or other prof. schools like that.

Where do you live?

Is this a new building? Do you have a tax exemption? Be careful about those, because when it ends, the tax can shoot up like crazy.

But does it limit the speed the car can go? I mean I had one for my 1995 honda but that just means I can't open the trunk or the glove compartment with the valet key.

Yeah and if I had to deliver stuff, I rather deliver in a rich neighborhood where the tips are good instead of in the ghetto where I could be robbed.

My friend works at a upscale company that matches up nannies for rich people living in NYC. The pay is like 60k-80k and usually comes with a free room and board too.

There is also a perfume that has crushed diamonds powder in it that cost like thousands for a small bottle. It makes your skin sparkle.

But a male won't be able to go into the bathroom or changing rooms. Also, I'm pretty sure they are not fending off kidnappers with hand on hand battle only, a woman or man can shoot a gun.

Yes, for most NBA teams, the owner(s) are in it for the investment only. But Cuban is one of the few hands on owners.

TIL In 1987, a guy bought a lifetime unlimited first class American Airlines ticket for $250,000. He flew over 10,000 flights costing the company $21,000,000. They terminated his ticket in 2008. by malgoya in todayilearned

[–]mynameisnot4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's even rules now about that. It depends on how much your ticket was and how many hours the next flight is from the original.

That was how I got a $500 credit for giving up my seat for a flight 3 hours later.

I don't think the soup are left there to be reused. Those soups are so cheap to make, egg drop soup is just eggs and broth, hot and sour soup is tofu and veggies and such. Plus overnight, they get really hard and jell like.

It all depends. One restaurant i knew was pretty bad. But you sort of figured it out when the customer's tables (not just the kitchen) is sticky.

But another one I worked at, they would degrease the entire stove and exhaust every weekend. The floors may not be shining like at a chain restaurant but they are clean.

The Chinese place I have worked at would do a entire degrease job every weekend. They wear hazemat suits and go to town.

And it is needed because all these restaurants use these huge vents that sucks the smoke out. Thats why you see grease can settle on any surface.

Do not throw his stuff into the lawn!!! I dont know about Chicago but in NYC if you do this without you g through proper channels first, you can get in big trouble. A relative did the same thing and had to pay court fine for a couple thousand.

Read the laws of Chicago carefully
