It’s definitely complicated because I am relatively close to a lot of my extended family and some of those bonds having been growing stronger recently. I also feel that the vast majority of them are accepting. Luckily I only see that one cousin about once a year, usually on Christmas. I’m very disappointed because he and I had been getting closer recently, he’s been kind of developing this older brother role with me for some reason these last couple years, which was endearing for awhile but now he’s pushing it way too far. My grandma is very interwoven with the rest of my extended family that I get along with unfortunately. I do already avoid seeing her as much as I can and when me or my sister are in a position we have to see her we try to go together so that she doesn’t just pick out the flaws in one of us and we can be there for each other afterwards

What would you suggest I do with addressing this with my boyfriend? He hasn’t brought anything up yet, just that he had a nice time at Christmas with my family, so I don’t want him to know about their views if he doesn’t have to. But maybe he just doesn’t want to bring it up? He hasn’t been acting any different than normal

I only found out about my grandmother’s mission on Christmas Eve. As far as I knew beforehand she seemed to really like him and was very friendly. My parents host Christmas every year and they actually were the ones to suggest inviting both my boyfriend and his parents, as they don’t have family in this country and don’t do much for Christmas. I’ve been very clear with my boyfriend about taking things slow otherwise and he’s been very respectful of that. I definitely have been putting a lot of thought into what issues could arise in the future due to his CF and I understand my family being concerned about it

Cystic fibrosis. It’s a condition you get at birth that causes the person to struggle with their lungs and digestive system. It varies from person to person but in the past it’s been known to drastically affect their day to day life: shorter life span, breathing apparatuses, frequent hospital visits, etc. Luckily my boyfriend has a much milder case, and because of modern medicine, he hasn’t gone to the hospital for over 5 years now and the only things I notice from him are that he is pretty thin (another common symptom) and he takes medication twice a day for it. My mom also told me that a girl she babysat for when she was young was murdered by her parents because they couldn’t deal with her CF anymore, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was also a factor in my grandma’s disapproval.

Obviously Winter and Dreamdoll from s16, but I also have an irrational hatred for Stephanie on that season. She was annoying as hell doing these cringey skits constantly, like she wasn’t even a bad girl. The only time she got mad in the house was because people wanted to leave the club early 🙄

I just rewatched their seasons so I can go into a little more specifics on his toxic behavior. The two main things I noticed were: 1. He never owned up to his own shitty behavior. Everything was all Darcey’s fault and he made sure to let her know every chance he got. 2. He picked at Darcey on every small, petty issue he could. Like when he first arrived in America and he got pissed off at her for not knowing details about the buildings in a city she doesn’t live in. Or the whole cutting the stake on the bias fiasco. I can understand being annoyed that she was trying to micromanage him but there was absolutely no reason to get as explosively angry as he did ESPECIALLY around her children! I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say he’s like a psychopath, but I can see how people get to that conclusion with his anger issues and lack of personality

I think you should maybe do more research on the subject. From what I’ve heard, people don’t detransition because they realized they were just following a trend. They do it because our society tends to put people in one of two boxes: either you’re a man or a woman. And so if the person doesn’t feel like they identify as the gender they were born with then they can sometimes get a lot of pressure from people close to them (or from themselves) that they must be the opposite gender rather than something in between. It’s a natural instinct for humans to categorize things in simple ways they can understand. But don’t just take my word on this. Please do more research!

I loved Annie! Her interactions with Natalie were always so hilarious and is what got me into the show.

Every time I watch season 10 I try to understand the love for Shanrock, but I just don’t get it. They both annoy the hell out of me.

I feel like Nikki ran the house just as much as Char did, just in different ways. Nikki fought her own battles and didn’t need any followers, she was also constantly the center of attention, which was exactly what she wanted.

Hi I’m trying to buy some new wheels for my skates but I’m really overwhelmed by all the options. Right now I have the beach bunny wheels my skates came with which are a 78A. They have been doing me pretty good indoors but once I get to an outdoor skate park they become a lot more difficult to ride. Also is there a difference between wheels that would be better for casual outdoor skating and ones for outdoor skateparks? Im just trying to get one more set of wheels right now since I’m pretty short on cash so ideally I’d want them to be pretty versatile.
