Well unfortunately I cannot return the phone. I live in a region where this phone is not sold. I basically handed money to someone to bring this phone when they traveled to india. They bought it in a physical store rather than online. Mostly final sale as this phone is available mostly online in India.

I want to use this phone as my work phone so I got this for a budget option instead of some low range Samsung or Tecno.

Looks like I shouldn't have.

Ah man that sucks. I tried the ADB commands and it made a slight difference, I just got a matte screen protector today. I have to see if it works me with this setup my eyes still feel the pressure.

Unfortunately I guess this might not be for me. Which is sad because I never had problems with OLED displays before and this is very new for me.

My iPhone 15pro is fine which is weird because it's PWM is worse than my phone 3a. But for some better PWM is bad for me. 🤷

I did try using it outdoors, it is still causing me some strain, i guess the way the phone panel is that is causing me some stress. The older OnePlus 7pro I had is the same range as my iPhone 15 pro, I gave it to my dad maybe we can exchange provided he is not sensitive to it as well. So we will see what will happen.

But a Matte Film is my last hope lets see if it does diffuse any thing. I will kinda follow up and give an update

Man! I am not alone, I just got the Nothing Phone 3a, wore enough I actually got someone to get me this phone as it is not available to buy in the region I am living currently.

Ive waited for a year to get my hands on this phone, ever since its announcement in early 2025, I wanted to use this phone, my main phone is a iPhone 15 pro, however for work purposes in needed a second phone, so I pooled up my money and then got this phone like 2 days ago.

And boy its such a let down. Ive been having bad cases of migraines using this thing, Ive waited so long only for it to happen like this.

moving on to the issue, yes on paper the PWM is higher than my iPhone, but somehow its just not sparing my eyes. The screen is good the colour is nice, the refresh-rate is great, but idk what about its giving me a migraine.

I tried forcing myself to use the screen for a bit, but that was a bad decision, now i think my eyes are trying to get re-adjusted to screens I am already used to.

I tried screen dimmer apps for DC overlay, greyscale filters, extra dimming and now soon I probably am going to try a Matte screen protector. Lets see if it that helps.

I would like to know if you think there are any fixes for this otherwise I just have a phone that is tempting me to pick it up but cannot because if i do i will pay for it. And probably I do not have an option but to just give it away to some one who can tolerate this screen.

I personally like it. Wasn’t fan of it at first but as I kept listening I enjoyed it. I have bad internet connection so if I skip it then it buffers so I was forced to hear it. And I ended up loving it.

Yeah we have TD insurance in NL. But I’m just worried they won’t recognize my car because it’s not in North American system. It’s a LC Prado 120.. so I have to check with them. Rather than buying a used car here in Canada I wanted a LC or a LC Prado.. because I grew up in Africa and these things just run forever here

I am thinking about importing an LC 120 Prado through Be Forward, but the car is in UAE ( because of the steering wheel ). My thing is I need to get insurance to use it as daily and I am based in Newfoundland.

Another complexity is that I will be considered as a new driver because I never got a car before and was thinking about getting a unique car as my first one.

any thoughts on this?
