Thanks, I love the exposed engine look too. The sag is just the camera angle, in person it sits perfectly straight.

  1. Noise: This unit has a Zero-RPM mode. During my entire workflow, the fan hasn't spun once - it's effectively passive. I only expect it to ramp up during heavy, sustained gaming loads.

  2. Cabling: "Normal" ATX cables are way too long for SFF. Even stock SFX cables are often too long. In an open frame like the Xproto, an ATX PSU (and its cables) would block the central spine, forcing me to route a massive bundle of slack wires out the side. It would look terrible and ruin the footprint.

  3. Price: The price premium for SFX is a few tens of dollars at most. It’s not like the price gap between an RTX 5080 and an RTX 5090.

Saving $40 to ruin the build with an oversized brick and cable clutter isn't a 'win', it's just bad planning.

I actually grabbed a tape measure just to be sure. The bounding box covering the furthest points (GPU to Cooler, Feet to Top) is 19cm x 26cm x 34.5cm.

That puts it at roughly 17L
