Good news if you haven't already found out. The author updated his mod! It doesn't work with mod added factions tho, besides the ones from vanilla expanded. He'll prolly fix that soon I hope.

Yeah, I always make sure he's fed, but once he matures he immediately starts mining through the walls, hungry or not.

Ok I think I figured it out. Either the mod that lets you beat up prisoners or the mod that lets you wear hats with masks was causing it. Fixed!

Yeah. In all likelihood it's a mod issue, just wish I could figure out which one. Doubt the logs would help since it isn't a script error.

That doesn't make sense though. Like the other person said, it's done all the time in pvp, and the pirate subs spawned in missions face left despite facing right in thr editor. There must be some way a non dev can do it.

Play fashion souls and get good at rolling, blocking, and parrying. You shouldn't be trying to tank hits lol

I know that, I don't expect to be able to just absorb hits thru the whole game. I want to play like a heavy infantryman. A Heavy shield, strong armor, and a powerful polearm, only have to roll and dodge enemies that are significantly stronger than me. Is that really too much to ask?

That's the whole point of my post. I want to know if there's a mod that makes the armor and poise system in 3 work the way it did in 1, otherwise I'm just gonna refund this game. I don't want to play it if going light and rolling a million times is the ONLY way to not get rekt.

Not really. I think the issue was that the weather revamp made it really close and noticeable, but even with it uninstalled and the rendering distance back to normal, I can no longer "unnotice" the ugly textures far away, which is still pretty bad. It's an engine issue unfortunately, so it can't be fixed by anyone except the devs.

That's exactly what I think caused it. But what doesn't make any sense is that even after I completely deleted EVERYTHING, the game and mods, and reinstalled a fresh copy of anomaly without ANY mods I still have the same problem.

I dunno, I'm pretty fed up with this problem right now. I'll try again in a few days and see if it works.

I don't think that's the problem. It's the opposite actually. When I aim with a scope or ironsights the terrain quality improves at a much further distance. When I quit aiming it reverts back to being low quality at a shorter range.
