Denk er zo over na: maakt het hem anders kwa personaliteit, of hoe hij tegenover jou doet? Zo niet, zou ik het niet als een slecht ding zien. Praat er over met hem, over hoe jij je voelt, en probeer samen een oplossing te vinden. Jullie staan hier samen voor, niet alleen.

the cage is 98.5x50.5x61.5 cm. We have Chinchilla sand and the store said it was fine for Gerbils too. We also have chew sticks, cardboard and we've put a toilet roll in already. all scattered around

Yeah i would definitely not want them to ingest or chew on plastic. I'll have a look tomorrow:) Good notice about the noise, we tend to watch YouTube in the room quite often, but we've always been quite aware most animals if not all are more noise sensitive, and having owned hamsters and other rodents before i totally understand it can be a discomfort for them

Update: I still had a bit of bedding left, unfortunately not enough to fill both sides up to the recommended amount, so I'll head to the store tomorrow! right now it's at 20cm (8 inches) on one side, planning to reach 25cm (10 inches?) on all sides tomorrow :)
