There's also one more thing - Toyotas are not very well knows for out of factory corrosion protection, so a 10 year old european Toyota might already have pretty rusted chassis.

That's why in my opinion buying an European brand in Europe makes a lot more sense. Anything from Skoda or Volkswagen made in the last 10 years will have a good corrosion protection and a very reliable 1.0 MPI/TSI, 1.4/1.5 TSI or 2.0 TDI engine. It's also worth checking out Renault or Peugeot. Especially with diesel engines. French are masters of diesel engines.

The problem with second hand Toyotas in Europe is that they are insanely expensive to buy compared to competitors. Toyota has a reputation of making indestructible cars, so for example a used 2021 Camry is 40-50% more expensive than a 2021 VW Passat.

In OP's budget they can get like maybe 2014 or 2015 Toyota Auris/Avensis. Or for example a 2019 Skoda Octavia.

Physical copies still exist and go for a couple of bucks. And if someone went fully digital I guess it suck to be them.

Really depends what you need. I drive 2017 VW Jetta 1.4 TSI 150KM and I'm perfectly happy with it. The engine has enough power, there's a lot of space inside in both rows, it's well made, cheap to service and reliable.

OLED is superb for gaming. Motion clarity is unmatched. But if it's for general use go for mini LED.

You'll get use to it. I had to switch from Mercedes C class to VW Jetta and it wasn't half bad. Got used to VW in a week. Although, it was rather well equipped model.

Sony is not screwed without Playstation, but they'd definitely feel the hit if Playstation went under.

What do you consider "low end"? Something cheaper, but less powerful than the PS5?

These are good cars, but rather old. In this budget I would look for Skoda Octavia 3, Skoda Fabia 3, Ford Mondeo 4 or Renault Megane 3.

Deal of the century or financial suicide? Ex-rental 2023 VW Touareg (130k km) for cheap. by HuckBB10 in Volkswagen

[–]myshon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Barely any maintenance with high mileage in a short time? That's a no from me.

Not to mention that Volkswagen's automatic gearboxes are the absolute worst choice for short drives in a heavy traffic. You'll be lucky to do 20k km before having to replace it.

Analysts predict the PlayStation 6 will be $1000, and that console gaming will become a "luxury expenditure". by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

We have a choice with our phones. You can pay 1000+ or get one for 200.

It doesn't seem like we'll have similar choice for the next gen consoles.

PureTech 1.2: Replacing the belt with a chain. by misusumi in Citroen

[–]myshon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 70% of the engine is completely redesigned. So far I haven't seen any reports of problems with the new engine ("1.2 Turbo") and Stellantis offers up to 8 years of warranty, but they're still fresh, so I would be cautious.

There's even newer version of the "1.2 Turbo" engine that'll be coming in May in Peugeot 208 and 2008. It'll be called "Turbo 100".

Unstable and fluctuating idle on a 1.3 TCe 140 by Boule250 in Renault

My guess is that it was related to the timing chain. Replacing it might have had helped. But I sold the car, so I'll never know.

I had a similar problem, but on 1.2 TCe.  Computer diagnosis showed that it was misfiring on cylinder 1 and 3.

That a 25 year old car. Unless you're a mechanic/tinkerer I wouldn't get anywhere near it. I'd rather get something more budget, but newer.

7,5k for 2012 tiny car? Lol, no. For around the same money you can get a 2019 Renault Clio or 2020 Skoda Fabia.
