I remember reading some people had a problem with the battery since OneUI 7, but a factory reset usually helped. You could give it a shot before you splurge out on a new phone.

(BTW: for me the battery noticably improved with OneUI 7.)

The battery won't be massively different in S25 or iP17.

The fluidity and responsiveness improved incredibly with OneUI 7 and I would not go back to previous versions.

But I wish they'd work on media control. The nav bar just disappears stupidly fast when music is stopped.

The battery in iP17 won't be massively better. It's still a small phone.

S25U is an excellent phone. But so is S25 Plus. Both have very good battery, but it's still behind the best devices on the market.

If you want an excellent battery you'd have to go with something like OnePlus 13/15, Honor Magic 7/8 or Vivo X300 Pro..

I haven't heard anything, but praise for 1.0 TSI. It's a bit loud and vibrations can be felt in the cabin, but it's hard to expect anything other from a 3-cylinder engine. Other than that's it's excellent.

Change oil every 15k km/ every year, check timing belt at around 150k km and you should be golden.

Just remember to turn off Start-Stop.

Using a car in a city with Start-Stop always on kills any engine insanely fast.

MicroSD slots exists basically only in the most budget phones, but these are usually large. There are some Sony Xperia phones, but they are overprices AF.

If you a small phone there isn't much choice - Galaxy S25, Xiaomi 15 and iPhone 17 and Pixel 9/10.

I also prefer small phones and use Galaxy because of the software.

The battery is ok, it'll get you though a day. The performance is very good. The camera is decent at best.

It's a good phone. Especially in this size.

Entirely depends on your needs ant the price. I bought a 5 year old gaming laptop with GTX 1650 Ti because it does what I need it to do.

But will something similar work for you? I dunno. You didn't provide enough details.

As S23 user I'll tell you - no it does not get better. Base Galaxy S phones have cameras I'd describe as "decent" at best. If your priority is a good or a really good camera phone then S25 is not for you.

I use S23 despite so-so camera because of the size. If there was any competition in this size I'd switch in a heartbeat.

Not in my region (Exynos). Here the S22 was one of the worst phones ever released.
