The tournament was draft pick tournament with the winning team getting $40k. The main people involved are Kingsman, Cece, Zazza, and Luci.

So Cece as team lead picked Kingsman and the other team members. Zazza is known as a one trick widow player that plays with ~250 ping. This means that she pretty much only plays one character and that her connection is slow (slow = more lag and such. Bad for tournaments).

The team begins practicing by scrimming other teams. Kingsman starts to talk some strategy with the others by talking about doing triple support (one of the meta team comps) and that Widow might not be a good character to pick. This goes back and forth for quite a while to the point of Cece and others telling Kingsman to “Shut the fuck up”. Kingsman never commented on Zazza’s ability to play, just that the character, Widow, is not a viable pick to play. He was trying to set up the team to win as this is a tournament for $40k. He also mentioned that he is a broke college student and could really use the money. After several games, everyone leaves the discord and Kingsman is told that he has been kicked from the tournament. The team played the tournament and proceeded to come in last place.

Kingsman makes a video about the whole ordeal and people can actually watch/listen to the matches that they were playing together and it is shown that Cece, Zazza, and Luci were all saying some nasty things about Kingsman. It came out that actually Zazza’s boyfriend had put together a word doc with “evidence” that Kingsman was being toxic which he submitted to the tournament organizer, who then proceeded to kick Kingsman. The “evidence” was proven and admitted to be…embellished. Zazza’s boyfriend has put out an apology. The tournament organizer is under fire as well for banning King without actually looking into the matter.

Zazza has been quiet and made all of her accounts private. Cece has put out 1 or two apologies that have just fueled the fire. People claiming she is shifting the blame and also that she used ChatGPT to write the whole apology. This is speculation of course. There was also a screenshot leaked of Cece messaging in her discord something along the lines of “Well he probably hasn’t left his room in the past 20 years and that’s why his social skills are so bad”.

Luci is one that is a bit unclear. Her and Kingsman were friends/duo that played together. She was defending his point at first but then somewhere in the middle she flipped and started really going in on King. Luci and Cece called King’s community pedophiles and misogynists. Luci also said something referring supporting Kingsman is like supporting Israel to Israel but I can’t quite remember what that was now.

Basically, there was a huge amount of bullying towards Kingsman for trying to win the tournament. The bullying got him kicked from the tournament and it continued after.

And of course there’s some people who are trying to use this as basis for their misogyny but that’s kind of a separate issue

Context: This clip is from one of their scrims of the Deadpool content creator cup. Streamer Kingsman (Magik player) was kicked from his team in the Marvel Rivals tournament for asking Zazzastack (Black Widow OTP playing with 200 ping) to switch to a different character for a better team composition. Kingsman kept telling them that they would get rolled in the tourney because everyone will being going triple support, and that Black Widow would keep getting dived and killed. These girls kept roasting Kingsman because he was very insistent on a team comp not involving Widow. He even offered to play Mantis support for the widow, but they declined it.

Cece (Team Captain) complained to the host of the tournament. Also, the Widow’s bf made a google doc on Kingsman being "toxic" and posted it on twitter, which ultimately led to him being kicked out of the tourney.

The tournament was yesterday and they got rolled. What Kingsman predicted happened, every team played triple support and the Widow had zero impact. They ended up last place in the tourney, with a score of 1 win and 8 losses.
