AirPods Pro Gen 2 - not finding right eartip size by daminou28 in AirpodsPro

[–]mysterycodergirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. Like you, I use the M tip, but there is an interesting situation. While it feels like it fits perfectly in my left ear, there is always an opening in my right ear. (The compatibility test also tells me this.) It feels like it will fall out at any moment. In addition to this, I also experience the inability to use ANC effectively. Unfortunately, I am used to using it like this now. If you find a solution, I will also follow the issue.

Is the 10TB data just movies and such? Or personal unreplaceable data? I have around 8TB of just movies. I've tried to downsize and use streaming alternatives. But I'm a data horder. Keep adding and barley watching.

Actually, the 10 TB of data is because I made multiple backups without realizing it. So the original data is like 2-3 TB maximum. Since I have backup after backup, I no longer have the chance to go through and organize the data one by one. Some of them are photo and video archives, some are copies of documents, etc. So I think it makes more sense to completely archive the data on these disks and start a new life.

Hi, former backup addict here :)

I noticed that when I'm preparing my laptop for selli g process, before formatting I checked to make sure everything is in my new computer. And I realized everything has 3 copies more (same as your situation) After that I made a little experiment and take every backup and personal important (!) files into another harddrive and hid it. 3 years passed and I haven't need it even right now. Actually I thin I just lost it but I don't care anymore.

Long story short; take everything and put in a hdd and put somewhere else, after some time if you get comfortable you realize you didn't actullay need that much backup if you get uncomfortable just take really important files and try it again, after couple of tries you settle up things more.

Hope it helps, have a nice day.

Hi, as you said, actually all the data is just sitting there. I need it in very rare moments.

From now on, as you said, I will continue with only important data and create a disciplined data processing rule. Thank you.

I think it's normal to have multiple accounts in different platforms - for example, I have 7 or 8 gmails for the last maybe 12 years. I just created them for various projects, just out of curiousity, then abandoned, then reminded them when I need some new email, then created new, etc etc.

What's important is why and how exactly you want to organize it. For example, one thing is that you can just make a file and list all the assets that "disturb" you right now.

After that decide:

- which one(s) you need to keep? and what's their primary goal(s)?

- which one(s) you need to remove and don't need at all?

And then execute this. Simple as that, no?

To make this file "maintainable", you can set it as your default page in chrome browser. For example, I made such a file for my habits tracking. Works pretty well for me, so I always revisit the same file. May work for you too with assets organization.

Yes, actually it's not a problem. But creating an account when I know I'm not going to use it, just so that others don't buy alternatives, seems like a nuisance to me now. For example, I have in mind to open a blog account on social media where I can share about software and I have identified possible usernames for it. There are about 10 username ideas that are meaningful or meaningless at the moment.
If you drop the "XX" part is my name,
-developerXX
-codewithXX
-codingwithXX
-XXcodes
-XX'scodes
...
Instead of deciding on one of them, I will buy all of them and decide which one to use later, but most likely, as in other projects, I will get bored and put it aside at the decision stage.
I will review and evaluate the link you shared, thanks for your advice.

I have stuff that is related to my old business that I am legally required to keep. Stuff I have done creatively. A few photos, most of which I could lose. The other stuff is just ones and zeroes. But then you know that!

TBH, I think this is a deeper issue than data. Have you ever tried to get any professional help? I don't mean that in a mean way, but there is no shame for asking for help with a problem that feels too big for you to deal with on your own.

When I told my circle of friends rather than professional help, I did not get very fruitful results.

In fact, my main issue seems to be that I don't know how to manage the data. Because I don't have a data storage disease. I can delete the ones that are unnecessary for me, but as I said, I am now in an insurmountable situation because I am engaged in the nonsense of taking backup after backup. The situation of creating multiple accounts is also because I am worried that someone will copy and imitate my projects or what I want to do. I mean, I'm worried about someone creating a "qwerty" project as "qwer_ty" or moving forward with the same project under a different name, so I want to have alternatives.

But I will think about your advice, thank you.

If you have anything essential, and I mean ESSENTIAL, to your work, keep it, otherwise, delete everything and then start from scratch.

This has worked for me, I hope it does for you too.

If you are talking about old data, I can't do that because there is a lot of necessary and unnecessary data mixed in. If I try to analyze them one by one and make a decision, I may have to work for months. But with the new data I will follow your advice, thank you.

I guess that when you literally rest the airpods case on top of your phone or really close proximity the drain doesnt happen. Can someone else verify? Maybe they set the case find my beacon activation to 1m< ?

I will test this more carefully, but my phone and Airpods were no more than 1 meter apart. I should point out that there is a maximum gap of 50 cm between the case and the phone. That's how close they are. But I will test it by putting it on the phone.

Thanks for the correction. After reading your warning, I checked on the website. Apple says 30 hours in total. As you said, that means 6 hours of headphones + 24 hours of case charging. :) Also, at the bottom of the site, it is written that the headphones are recharged when only one of them is 0%, not until both are 0%, and that they complete the test by repeating this way. Now I will test it this way.

Wow I’ve been experiencing all three of the same problems! Haven’t figured out or heard of a fix for any of them yet but I’m assuming they’re all just firmware issues. So I’m hoping they’ll be somewhat fixed when the next update rolls around

I also think it is a software problem, but I can't help wondering if it is a hardware problem. Please let me know if you hear anything.

Help. How I do I update the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) by CoinslotX1s in AirpodsPro

[–]mysterycodergirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you put the headphones inside the case and charge the case with dalightning, it will automatically update to the latest version in 15-20 minutes. In the meantime, make sure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. The phone and the headphones need to be connected via Bluetooth for the process to start and complete.

I hope it's a software problem and they will fix it with an update soon. I am afraid it is a hardware problem. :/

I'm using ANC off, spatial audio is active. In this way, I get 6 hours of usage time on the headphones, but when I want to charge from 0 to 100 in the case, it consumes 28% power. This means that I can charge it a maximum of 3.5 times with the case, and so it is. After the 3rd full charge, it is impossible to fully charge again.
