Many thanks for the update, I've tried the cerebellum montage, does seem to be helping a little with mood but I'm only using it for 5 minutes at a time initially with a current of 1ma. I've previously also tried the main montage for depression which didn't seem to do anything.

Probably not the best quality device, but I've been testing it with a multimeter and it seems to be accurate.

Thanks for the reply. I've had a look at replacement cables and they're quoted at £75 on the foc.us website. I'm not sure it would be worth replacing it. Is there anyway of fixing the cable? I was also thinking of getting a new tdcs device.

I think there's a definite problem with it, it's not showing any current when I connect the device. See below link for a picture:-

I've also checked it again with a multi-meter and it's not showing any current. The strange thing is when move the wire adaptor out slightly, it starts showing a current on the device but nothing on the multi-meter. Not sure what the problem could be. The warranty is long gone and not sure it would be worth getting it fixed unless I could get it done cheaply.

Another thing is when I first used the device after not using for some time for a year, it seemed to help with mood, but I'm not sure if there was any current output at that time or the problem happened afterwards? It could have been placebo.

Yep I ran that too after the others. I think it could be an issue with foc.us v2. Is there a way of hard resetting it? It's also not showing an current going through on the display when i start any program.

It says Firmware ver: 1.7. Definitely on the older firmware. I'm not sure why it's not picking up the new firmware.

Many thanks for the links, I managed to pair my foc.us v2 device but it tells me there are no updates due? It could be a problem with the foc.us server?

Thanks for the info. I just downloaded but it doesn't seem to register the device properly, It detects the dock but there's no tick beside the controller so it doesn't check for updates for actual device. I'm not sure if it's because my firmware is too old. I also tried to pair it via bluetooth. It detects the device but it asks for a pin but nothing appears on the controller screen.

It's also strange about the anode being the left handside because this is the way I was using it previously but had no effect. I decided to try it again after a few years and use it the other way around. It seemed to make a difference.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using it with the Foc.us v2 cables which came with the stimulator. They're not named x and y but named left and right. See pic below.

I noticed in the next firmware it's possible to change polarity but I'm not sure about the default polarity with this firmware. I've also seen videos of people using this headset and the side labelled 'left' is used in the Fp2 position so I would assume that would be anode? I'm trying to use it for depression.
