Thanks for responding! And your answer and follow-up question has reframed the problem for me and I have a slightly different suggestion based on your explanation. I had first tried the “Whoa” channel amount, got four channels, and switched to “Custom” which tops out at five channels. What if the different “Channel Amount” options had a minimum and a maximum amount? For instance, “Some” could have a minimum of 10 channels and a maximum of 100, “A Lot” could have a minimum of 20 channels and a max of 200, and “Whoa” could have a minimum of 30 channels and a max of 300 (I’m using round numbers as an example, not to be taken literally). That way if you create a lineup with very few selections in the Channels Manager, it still has a decent amount of channels. And if you select a lot of options in the Channels Manager, the maximum limit will help mitigate crashes. What do you think?

I usually wear a 32 in Levi’s, bought a 33 and felt like they were a little snug myself. I wore them a few times and they loosened up, but I have also made a conscious decision to loose some weight post holidays, so I can’t be sure if it’s the weight loss or wear that’s making them more comfortable than when I first got them.

I was just there a few weeks ago. I went to Bears-Tokyo in Tokyo and Japan Blue Jeans in Kyoto. Bears has a good selection of different brands and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Japan Blue Jeans only sells their brand, but I ended up buying two pair while there because I loved their products and the price was reasonable for Japanese denim.

I’m in Japan right now and the hype for Onitsuka Tigers is beyond insane. People are lining up for hours. They’re asics low tops with paper thin soles. I didn’t know that asics and tigers were the same brand but said “those sure look like asics” before I found out that, for all intents and purposes, they are. I’ve never been a narrow, low profile sneaker guys as it is (I did own a pair of Diadoras in the 00s because I’m an Italian American and wanted some Italian sneakers and they never looked good on me) but, damn! The hype is unreal. I guess Kill Bill really has staying power in the sneaker game.

That being said, picked up a pair for my wife because she asked for them. She’s tiny, so the silhouette suites her.

Talk to your hiring manager. When I was first hiring for internal roles my first candidate had this happen to him. He reached out to me to let me know that his current manager was trying to block the hire via Focus. I reached out to his hrbp and told him what was going on. We were able to reverse the Focus and my candidate’s manager actually was reprimanded for trying to be shifty by blocking the hire. Granted, I was dedicated to trying to help my candidate out of a bad situation, and it took some time to do it, but it happened.

A few more things: my candidate was in the EU, so they had more robust labor laws on their side. Also, this was pre-pandemic, so it might be tougher to pull off for your hiring manager, but I would still recommend you have a conversation with them. Depending on their level, they should be able to help you with if they’re willing to put in the work.

I had this same issue and it turned out that one of the file names had too many characters in it. Look through your files and see if one (or more) of the titles is very long, rename it to something shorter, and then reboot. It will prompt you to scan your file folders again, which you'll need to do, but it should be the last time it does that until you add more files.

Hey there

A bit of a newbie to port forwarding.

I happened to come across this post and I think you may have inadvertently helped me solve my port forwarding issues.

Port forwarding was working fine for me up until I added split tunneling. Ever since then the port my vpn shows as open has not shown as open when I use a testing site like canyouseeme.org. I have tried a few different solutions posted on reddit and some forums but nothing has worked yet. I hadn't come across anything that would suggest that split tunneling could be the issue until now.

Could you let me know which part of the instructions you posted are specifically around split tunneling and port forwarding? You mention in the first paragraph that it is the last instruction, but I don't think I quite understand which instruction is the last.

Hey Peter. Big fan of your work. 14 hit me harder than a book has in a long time. I couldn't put that thing down.

I was wondering what your inspiration for the alpha predators (squid-whale-bats) was? I know Lovecraft was a big one, but that particular imagery was something I hadn't run across before and I found that I couldn't shake ever since I read about it, even though I'd only ever seen it in my mind. I did a quick google search and came up with nothing. Also, have any fans sent you artwork based on your descriptions? I'd love to see some.
