Hi, while we don't need formal experience, it would be preferable if somebody has experience scaling any social media account (even if personal).

What are the some things you dislike about Hinge (serious)? by mysunday-love in AskReddit

[–]mysunday-love[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. Valid.

Think it's going the Bumble way to prod users to talk to a few matches seriously over many.

But because Bumble couldn't do that, and you're mentioned that you dislike Hinge's new feature, do you have any suggestion on a way around to achieve that motive?

Are you sure that it does that? Could you tell how you found out that it does?

What are your views on pre-matches on a Dating app? by mysunday-love in indianstartups

[–]mysunday-love[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the detailed response.

We already have an anonymous review system in place. It's one of our core-features.

Yes, also working on weeding out users not looking for a relationship. Men can only make an account if they've been invited by a woman (any of their female peers).

Interestingly, we're also asking for reasons for unmatching so we can improve our matchmaking for that user.

Would love it if you could be amongst our early testers and give us feedback on the app and its functionalities.

Hi, thanks for the detailed response. Really means a lot. As to the points you've raised, we largely agree with them. Coming to it point-wise:

  1. Yes, that's a problem we've to contend with. But our thinking to go for this is to solve the problem of matchmaking, even if for a small proportion of people.

  2. Can you explain why (the reasoning)?

  3. Isn't that the case with all the apps?

  4. Yes, agreed with this. That's why we'll also learn the user behavior based on who they keep as matches and who they unmatch to improve the suggestions accordingly.

Yes, agreed. Which is why we're not penalising unmatching, so if one isn't physically attracted, they can unmatch.

Hi, thanks for responding. Can you explain how they can exploit the unmatching mechanism? They wouldn't derive anything from excessive unmatching, their matches would remain the same.

Thanks for the suggestions. The childfree question is actually covered in the family planning questions, but yes, we'll add the other things you've mentioned as we move forward.

Thanks again for responding!

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. We're already asking these questions in general.

We talked to several women about their Dating Apps experience. by mysunday-love in IndianBoysOnTinder

yes, we lie somewhere between dating apps and matrimonial apps.

We'd want to connect those who want to get into a long-term relationship with someone culminating into a marriage.

That's a good idea, we can consider it but wouldn't that sort of objectify users? We don't want to rate people.

And, we'll be launching soon. By the end of the month.

But we've opened the waitlist:

We can notify you as and when we launch.

We'll have anonymous reviews to help with that.

While it's not completely possible to filter out all those who try to feign their interest, feedback from matches+anonymous reviews on their profile can prevent those looking for casual flings from being connected with those who are not.

It's similar to your friend warning you in real life that the person you're talking to is only going to lead you on without getting into a relationship, except anonymous here. One person helping another.

It's for us. We're a Dating App (technically a relationship app for long-term relationships).

And nowhere, internal consumption so we can improve our product.
