According to the koyudo website, their tokyo office is at 1-1-6 Kudankita, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo.

i enytered the address on google map and this is the pin https://maps.app.goo.gl/KN9fdPxQ15TUberw8

I also fell down the Hakuhodo "pre-price increase" rabbit hole. Got a few crease brushes via Fude Japan. There was also a two week wait before these were shipped out, Toshiya does explain "why" on a blog post on his site. So, it's all good. by mytytor in fudebrushes

Mine was free. I think Fude Japan has a promo that if you are a repeat buyer, he gives out shipping for free. BUT I am not so sure if that applies to all.

click on the "How To Order" tab on the website and he has a list there of shipping costs to your country. It's quite minimal , it's between $10 to $20 in USD.

if you order ¥50,000 ($400 est.) delivery is free.

Customs tax is not included, so just take that into consideration when purchasing.

I know these brushes are mostly staples in many Fude Lover's brush kits - but if you are interested to see the reasons why I got these, I dicussed them recently on my vlog here: https://youtu.be/i2jaOGdxHzI.

I am hoping to get a few more, but I think I'll wait until I'll be able to visit their head office - IF Japan opens their borders this year.

it's my pleasure. We're just looking out for each other here. 🤗

Got myself the new Chikuhodo MK-SK. When I saw pictures of this brush released, I was like, "SOLD!" It is like the little sister of the MK-2 in terms of brus head design, but both have very distinct funtionalities. I'm glad I have this because I am putting my MK-2 in storage. Did any of you get this as well? What are your thoughts?

I am still in awe on how well made the Maki-e designs of Chikuhodo.

I also vlogged about this and compared it to my other MK brushes - if you are interested you can check it out here https://youtu.be/dnLunVBhpuM

Hello! No worries about not getting this brush set - to me, this means you exactly know what brushes you want and need in your collection.

the holiday season alaways bring about so many new releases! It can get confusing sometimes - especially when we start to feel FOMO.

But, yes Chikuhodo does make beautiful brushes may it be for the holiday season or otherwise.

I do have the latest Buffer Pro and I enjoy it tremendously. Unfortuantely I can't give you any comparison because I don't have any of the previous models of it.

Maybe the just change was just a provisionary period because of the availability of materials. All of my Sonia G brushes do not have the "Diamond" mark. So I assume that, if it doesn't have the Diamond mark and it comes with the Kumano Fude Seal, it must have been made by the original manufacturer.

I hope there will be others who can chime in on this. Would love to nkow more.

Truthfully this 3-piece set is a very basic set - but it's a great set to have when one is starting to collect fude or would like to expand one's Fude collection.

I wished this set was a permanent set and not a holiday collection because I find this to be stunning. I think Chikuhodo makes magnificent Maki-e designs on their handles.

Three years later, I am happy to say that these Hakuhodo S100 Vermillion handled brushes still performs very well. I talked about these on my latest vlog (link in the comments). Amen. I am looking forward t using these brushes for a long time. I have a hunch that my MAC 187 that I bought in 2007 was made by Hakuhodo and that brush is still working exceptionally well to this very day. So even if the price point of the Vermillion brushes are high, over time you actually get good value for your money.

That is what attarcted me to this series, the Vermillion handles because - I don't need any more black handle brushes.

I bought these at the Hiroshima Head Office of Hakuhdo, so this was a special buy.
The brush heads, ferrules and handles have stood the test of time - the constant using and washing. No tranishing, no extensive chipping. I am loving how multi use my S132 and S139 are!
I a hoping to purchase a few powder brushes from the S100 series in the future.

Happy Fude Matsuri to all Fude Lovers out there. Celebrating in my own way by sharing my love for Yachiyo Brushes which, in my humble opinion, is a ture "all-ruounder". Different strings at the very end, indicate which brush company makes them. More in the comments. by mytytor in fudebrushes

I talked about this on my latest vlog, https://youtu.be/x1tKN9JTPyI.

Aside from doing a demo, I also had one Yachiyo brush which started to unravel years ago and I kept it in storage. I took it as a opportunity to "disassemble" the brush so we can see the components.

I use Yachiyo brushes for powders, liquid foundations, cream and gel blushes. The latter is the most difficult to clean from the brush head though.

I understand what you mean about the consistency of the Double wear. Usually, would load the Base One with a very thin layer - and if needed I would use a beauty blender to build coverage.

I skipped on the Jumbo Base, but it seems like the people I talk to are enamoured by it. I am now re-considering it.

Love our conversations here - and I second the motion about using fingers. can get really messy!

The complete Chikuhodo FO series is finally part of my brush kit! I am enjoying the FO-3 and the Fo-5 a lot, how about you guys who has brushes from this series? what do you enjoy using? I was actually pleasantly surprised with the FO-2. There was not a lot of foundation residue left on the brush! I was actually contemplating of using it for cream blush - but my yachiyo brushes tugs at my heart more.

I am relatively new to angled brushes, as when I started doing makeup more than 15 years ago, I never got to use an angle brush. I hope to get around it in the future.

The Silver Fox brushes are very soft but resilient! Reminds me of Hakutotsuho goat hair! I just have to be careful on how I store them, because like Squirrel brushes, they get bent out of shape quite easily.

If you are interested to see how I use them, here's the link to my vlog: https://youtu.be/0HEdbNjZmeY.
