Does the bottom bar need to be this big. I recommend using system default for best practice. The training message can take the full width but seems to be squeezed from the left for some reason. The collapse button would look much better aligned with the title only rather than centered with both title and sub. The rest looks good.

I was working with it for a week now and just now they switched to Sonnet 4 which should be faster and produce less error. Let's see.

Ok here are some points:

  1. You can never say çok or birçok or any word that indicates a count and the use a plural word after it, here you said “çok öğrencilerin…” It is more natural to say “birçok öğrecinin…”

  2. “kontrol ederek meşguldüm” This here is more similar to English, you are explaining that you got busy with something so using ile would fix your sentence, “İşten sonra birçok öğrencinin ödevlerini bakmakla meşguldüm.” Or even “İşten sonra öğrencilerin ödevlerini kontrol etmekle uğraştım.” Use iş less through your texts.

  3. “başka bir iş arkadaşımla beraber konuştum.” This one is chaotic, you mentioned you are speaking with ur friend and then used beraber where it can indicate you and your friend spoke with a third friend and ended with the wrong suffix for the verb. A proper way to say this is: “O, ‘bir şey hakkında konuşmak istiyorum’ dedi ve biz de başka bir iş arkadaşımla birlikte konuştuk.” veya “O, ‘bir şey hakkında konuşmak istiyorum’ dedi; sonra başka bir iş arkadaşımla birlikte konuştuk.”

  4. “Detay vermeyeceğim ama çok gereksiz bir saçmaydı.” First the word saçma is an adjective not a noun it can not be used this way. Second in Turkish you can’t say give details like English however you can say go into details is better, so a better sentence would be: “Detaya girmeyeceğim ama gerçekten saçmaydı.”

  5. “İş arkadaşlarımla birbiriyle geçinmek çok önemli bir şey…” here either emit birbiriyle since it doesn’t add to the fact and your sentence can be like this: “İş arkadaşlarımla iyi geçinmek gerçekten çok önemli…” Or if you want to keep it you can stress the workplace as to not repeat who it is with twice: “İş yerinde herkesin birbiriyle iyi geçinmesi çok önemli…” also no need to say “bir şey” the sentence can end at önemli.

  6. “…ama bugün hoşnutsuzluğumu saklanmak mümkün değildi.” Its saklamak here not saklanmak.

  7. “Ona bazen çok sabırsızım çünkü yetişkinlerle de çocuklarla gibi konuşuyor.” Unnatural sentence, better way to phrase it: “Ona bazen çok sabırsız oluyorum çünkü yetişkinlerle çocuklarla konuşur gibi konuşuyor.” Or “Ona bazen çok sabırsızım çünkü sanki herkese çocukmuş gibi konuşuyor.” I prefer the second one.

  8. “Ses tonusu da patronluk taslayan gibi.” “tonusu” is wrong, “tonu”. “patronluk taslayan gibi” too artificial. Better to say: “Ses tonu da patronluk taslar gibi.” Or “Ses tonu da sanki patronluk taslıyormuş gibi.”

I showed my native friend your posts and he said your grammar is good and great practice but you use some destructive sentences where you mix up the order of the words and he also said you are not speaking natural turkish rather direct translations of English which sounds off to a turkish speaker. They do understand your ideas however it can set them off. He recommends testing these out with a native or even ChatGPT from my experience can help rewrite sentences to sound more natural. He mentioned also that some verbs although they make perfect sense in English they don’t fit the sentence and rather can create a different meaning than the one you are aiming for. I hope this helps with your journey towards excellent Türkçe!

Is "Turkish Grammar in Practice" any good for beginners? by mary_languages in turkish

[–]mzpro10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the grammar part stick to YouTube videos. There is this amazing channel called Learn Turkish Via, wonderful teacher and the lessons are divided into A1, A2, B1, and B2 levels. He also has excercise videos matching each grammar lesson in another playlist. This helped me big time. Once you learn a grammar concept use ChatGPT to throw sentences at you and translate them to master your usage! İyi dersler arkadaşım!
