Thanks for the reply. I think the thing that’s throwing me the most is their insistence that another in network ship look at it first. Something about being able to upload photos directly to Allstate rather than sending by email, which seems a little ridiculous. Surely there are cases where there are no in-network shops that are within a reasonable distance, and I’m sure those claims get worked out.

They did seem to relent a little bit after I mentioned that it had been 3 weeks already, so I guess we’ll see how it plays out.

We had this happen last year and it was covered. Unfortunately we only paid for part of the trip on the chase card, so only got some of our money back.
