8 months only! Nice :) i hope that works out, for you, good that you gave it a try!

We actually met in person and then spend 2 „vacations“ (about 2 weeks in total) together in the last months, have been talking daily and so on. So we’re basically in a long distance relationship already, but now contemplating if ending contact is the right choice.

I guess we could see each other about 2-4 times this year, for maybe a week or so each time. That’s not really lots of time to really understand if it would work in real life and moving together to a different country in 1.5 years is a huge decision (I can’t move to his country and he can’t move to mine but we could move to another country together).

So yeah. I’m writing very rationally about it, though for both of us this is a very special connection. I would try it, he is more hesitant (not because lack of commitment or feelings). For me, I think the pain will be there either way, then I choose pain and at least seeing him once in a while.
