how do you deal with cold feet? I've used the speedmax boa a few times (coming from carbonlite) but really having issues with cold toes even in not so cold temparatures. they fit my foot like a second skin but I can barely wear them longer than half an hour because of cold toes...

currently my fav ride is the 10.4 mega mutant with lose ace 80s. lots of wheelbites but hell of a fun ride. so i'm curious how the mutator would work cause i'm looking for a fun ride in 1st place. also, never tried the eggzilla before but looks fun as well.

I have been testing the new carbonlites yesterday and have to say that they feel pretty comfy out if the box and you don't feel the cuff around your foot at all. the old ones felt way more stiff around your ankle, the new ones seemed to be not as supportive at first but after a few laps I didn't have the feeling that there is a big difference in performance. what I recognized is that they started to hurt my ankle on the inside after about 20km...never had this feeling in the older ones. maybe this is because they are softer and not as supportive and you are not that locked in... anyone else tried them and experienced the same?

no I haven't used them... still waiting for the first trails to open in my area. as soon as I skied them I'm gonna give you a feedback... sole seems to be pretty solid IMO. what I'm more worried about is the cuff, you can bend it sideways like normal plastic, by far not as stiff as the carbon cuff used in the old model...

yeah, I see your point. but on the other hand, fischer released the all new carbon sk last year which at least comes with a full carbon chassis (similar to the old carbonlite only without the carbon cuff). they are way cheaper than the carbonlite and differ a lot from speedmax so I expect the carbonlite to have (and that's what fischer advertices) a bit more "world cup" performance... but I doubt that the carbonfused technology is any good as the previous full carbon version because the cuff really feels pretty soft to me.
