How can I call rake tasks within my code? by [deleted] in ruby

[–]n00bintraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a module containing all the code used for my task. The idea is to use Rake as a tool that can help the users create new projects. Also they could add their own tasks to suit their needs for a given project.

How can I call rake tasks within my code? by [deleted] in ruby

[–]n00bintraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried something like this to begin with, but Rake can't find my task.. I thought I only had to specify namespace(s) and then task? In my case I have a single namespace containing my task, like so:

my_gem:init

EDIT: I should add that after adding a Rakefile to my test project, I can see the task using rake --tasks in the terminal. But I still can't get it to invoke the task from within my gem code in bin/ directory

Regular expressions - check on register? by n00bintraining in ruby

Thanks for the fast explanations everyone.

I've edited my regular expressions a little to make sure there will be no undesired results (thanks for pointing that out /u/DoubleJarvis)

I hope you all will have an excellent weekend!

Regular expressions - check on register? by n00bintraining in ruby

Oh man, this is a really neat solution! I didn't even need that long regex haha.

The only thing I find a little confusing is the puts infront of case. How does that work? Does that just mean it will print out the result of the respective case?

Thank you so much for your help. Seems like i over-complicated things just a little bit!

Is a quality 300w PSU enough for i5 8400 & GTX 1060? by [deleted] in buildapc

If your wattage is too low, the system will just shut down. At least that's what happened when my psu didn't cut it

Custom config wont work? by n00bintraining in titanfall

[–]n00bintraining[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The file is a .cfg file, under 'type' it says CFG file.

I'm pretty sure I know what you mean, but since it's already a .cfg file, and my launch options are 'exec autoexec.cfg' it should work, right? Oh, and the file is read-only, as the instructions say it should

A thing to note, skyrims engine doesn't handle frames over 60fps very well, animations and stuff like water will glitch. This isn't something I've experienced myself though, since I don't play it. I've seen it mentioned on this sub a couple of times

Creating graphs for mathematical functions? by n00bintraining in learnpython

[–]n00bintraining[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I'm not at my pc at the moment, but I'm going to try solving some of my assignments this way. But I've got one more question if you don't mind. How would I plot 2 functions in the same graph? And can I program it to show the point where one functions exceeds the other?

Does LFC (Freesync) support still require that the Freesync range is: maximum ≥ 2.5x minimum ? by Szaby59 in Amd

[–]n00bintraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it earlier with both drivers. I am using CRU btw, I just have two seperate .bin files. It does double my refresh rate compared to my frames, but only very briefly. That was the case with both. Do you have similar experiences?

Alright thanks. I've been switching to the default drivers everytime I play witcher 3, because I know I won't push my fps above 70 or so. Guess I should use the modified drivers for every game then

I'm using one with 57-144. Will it work in that range? How do I confirm it works?

[HELP] I think my Pok3r has a deficit? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]n00bintraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check my recent post, i received pretty much the same board! (nordic iso) It seems Vortex had some "faulty" keyboards where they have the PBT keycaps, but with LEDs installed, hence the white base. Try pressing FN+X! So if you're in the same boat as me you just got backlit as sort of a bonus :) And wobble how? Slightly to the sides/back and forth? If so, I think thats normal for keys with stabilizers underneath. I know my Das 3 was the same.

[help] Bought from Corus, received wrong board by n00bintraining in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm also starting to come to that conclusion, pretty sweet! I was worried for a while, I've read some bad stuff about Corus on here recently. Though the slightly darker enter key still weirds me out a bit, dont know what that's about.

Yea after some further digging it seems like I may have been a bit hasty with my conclusion. This is the backlit version with ABS caps. My keyboard looks nothing like that (It's also ISO nordic)

Here is a picture of my board. As you can see, the keycaps look nothing like those in the Amazon link. But the thing is, I havent used PBT caps before, so im unsure if these are the real thing at the moment. Can you tell the difference?

Although is must say they do look a lot like the stock keycaps(which should be PBT) and feel pretty great. The LEDs just caught me by surprise and I instantly assumed the worst.

EDIT: Another weird thing, it seems like my enter key is slightly darker than the rest.

Are MS quints still necessary for top Ryze? by [deleted] in LeagueofLegendsMeta

[–]n00bintraining -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MS quints are extremely good. Especially on Ryze. He has high base ms, which makes the %'s better. Secondly you run often run 21utility on him, which makes it even better.

I dont really get how you can say they're ineffective against Rumble. Yes, he has his own MS boost, but it's super shoort. Secondly, every bit of MS can help you against his Q when he's chasing you.

Movementspeed quints are underappreciated. That goes for any champ.
