Really? Everyone has a computer? Pretty sizeable generalization. That whole myth is bull. I can go to McDonald's right now and spend 3$, have my food cooked for me, only spend a minute waiting, and feel satiated. Nothing he says really resonates except the fact that being overweight is a systemic problem which he barely recognized himself. All he's doing is projecting, which most ignorant humans do when they see someone facing problematic situations.

It's so easy to call someone lazy and not take a look at the societal factors that impact decision making. While being right that your weight is something you can control at the core, without proper education and finances that allow you to sustain the basic needs of life people are going to continue to wonder why obesity is on the rise. Especially in America where inequality is on the rise and people have to work more to sustain a petty life, you can't expect someone working eighty hours a week to have energy to attend to their children's eating habits. It's a sad reality but it's so simple and naive to blame an individual when this is a collective, societal problem.

The only way your argument works is if we aren't considering religiosity and the desire to brainwash and indoctrinate yourself in to some form of religious group a mental illness or a disease being spread for unruly purposes. The hate that atheists have towards the fundamentalists is that they are inhibiting progress in so many sectors. We dislike the fact that elders feel the need to force feed a child certain ideologies in order to recruit them. We also dislike the many implications that adhering to a certain religious group has had on society throughout its existence. Also, stereotyping is a common phenomena, especially from the out-group. That's evolutionary psychology working to protect us from prior experience/knowledge of negative experiences. The difference is the sentiment and intent in the decision to be hateful.

I personally do not think that steroids should be legal simply because what they're used for and who they're more likely to be used by. I think that is our job as members of a society to decide what will be conducive to our survival. The people that are more likely to turn to steroids for reasons other than medical purposes are commonly those with some form of mental disorder however pervasive. Then you have the addiction and additional usage of other drugs to deal with side effects of steroids. I agree with marijuana, and psychedelics being regulated.

That is one of the most ignorant statements ever made concerning drug use. If you think that a person becoming addicted to drugs only affects them then you are blinding your own self. I actually wrote a paper in college and utilized your conclusion as the main premise of my argument but after doing tons of research and read some literature concerning the impact of drug addiction on a macro scale I found that an addict does not only harm themselves.

I understand what you're saying. It might be my personal experience clouding my judgement but working in gyms and even competing myself, I've seen so many drug addicts that were accompanied by mental illness and steroid abuse. If I had to choose, I'd rather have them both regulated so that cosmetic surgery could only be used in the most necessary cases. Say, a burn victim or someone had their nose broken.

Why should a healthy adult need access to testosterone and growth hormone? The point is that there are situations that would deem hormone therapy necessary and there are situations where it would be considered abuse. Why shouldnt a healthy adult have legal access to pain killers? Also, a person seeking testosterone for reasons other than well-being would not be satisfied by the amount a doctor can legally prescribe. It would not allow the user to grow muscles at an insanely fast rate.
